Maestro2000 (White Giant) | Thursday, October 20, 2011 - 05:31 pm Request for the gamemaster Please create an all inclusive shuttle capacity list for every item. Please add this to the space program section. |
David Walker (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, October 20, 2011 - 06:15 pm Not knowing much about space, I'm confused as to what that would mean. I've got as far as having a space centre and a cargo shuttle. I went to space to trade and I needed to buy or rent a space dock, so I've stopped there for now. If this is reffering to how many shuttles/trips it would requires for the stock to be transported, then I support the suggestion. |
Maestro2000 (Fearless Blue) | Thursday, October 20, 2011 - 08:45 pm If you play multi-worlds you can move products between worlds and bypass the space dock. (Space Center to Space Center shipping) What I am asking for is the gamemaster should make some moves to simplify space trade. Loading a shuttle to capacity with a single product type, how many units can a shuttle move? It would be helpful if the gamemaster could add a chart for all products. |
RagingPencil (White Giant) | Friday, October 21, 2011 - 04:55 am +1 Vital part of space trade considering life expectancy/cost of shuttles per mission, but it's not readily available information when trading. I also think some of the items need to have their capacity tuned. |
NovaJoe (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 22, 2011 - 10:48 pm It would certainly make it easier if there was a central location to find cargo capacities. It is very time consuming to figure it out now. |
CorporatePartner (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, October 23, 2011 - 04:32 am How about people start posting to the forum...then someone just copies/pastes together a new post...there, done. Let 'Gamemaster' and its consultants work on high priority, programming issues, as opposed to secretarial, mundane tasks. Besides, it's not like every product is in high demand to be transported across space and time...there are probably only about 1 in 10 products that are even worthy or popular to transport. Here are some examples to get things started: Chemical Missile Batteries: 5 Nuclear Missile Batteries: 5 Tactical Missile Batteries: 5 [Strategic batteries all are: 5 per Cargo Shuttle, so 20,000 space units each] Chemical Missiles 20 Nuclear Submarine Missiles: 20 Nuclear Missiles: 20 Strategic Bombs: 20 [Strategic weapons all are: 20 per Cargo Shuttle, so 5,000 space units each] |
CorporatePartner (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, October 23, 2011 - 06:13 am Strategic Bombers : 5 [so, 20,000 space units each, same as the strategic batteries] Precision Bombers: 100 [so, 1,000 space units each] |
Maestro2000 (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, October 23, 2011 - 02:43 pm Would still be nice if the gamemaster would make a complete list and post in the space section for easy reference. |
President M (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, October 23, 2011 - 04:58 pm As I understand it the way it is set up the offer amounts you can have on a space station are individually one shuttle load ie 100,000 units of capacity. I believe that was said somewhere in the doc and for the products I have traded so far it would appear to be true. As such checking what sizes the offers are on the good you intend to trade would let you know how many of that item fit in a shuttle, dividing 100,000 by the amount per offer should give you the units of cargo space consumed per unit of good. It is also possible to determine experimentally, look at your space program page and note the total units inside, then transfer a fixed amount like 100 units of the item you are interested in and note the change in units stored in the space centre, dividing the difference by the number of units you added will tell you the space units for each single unit of the good too. |
