Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, August 14, 2011 - 02:43 am In the absence of the addition of a SimCountry IRC. I propose the removal of the individual World Chatrooms in favor of the general chatroom. Many people sit in the world chatrooms and become discouraged because they are unaware that most chatters are in the general chatroom. For most General Chat opens as the default, but for some unknown reason pop-up blocker or some other strange mechanism no room actually pops up for me, I must manually choose which room to enter. Who knows how many this is true or false for. This would bring more players together in a single chat, and ovoid people from thinking the chat system is devoid of life. Of course, if players need privacy, the Common Market and Federation and Private Chatrooms that players can create and add a password are still available tools to use. |
Tom Morgan (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, August 14, 2011 - 05:56 am There aren't enough people on chat for there to be any need for a world chat room. One general chat and keep the private rooms for Feds. By the way, my chat still shows a CM chatroom I left a month ago. Bizzare. |

Globbo | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 10:21 pm Yep. Collecting people in a single room might improve things. Hopefully. |
Crafty | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 10:37 pm A more attractive chat system would encourage more use I reckon. I dont know how many of you use IIRC or remember Genie's Irc channel that most of SC used, but it had lots of functions that made being there more fun. Of course, you'll never replace the people...
