Matt Patton (Golden Rainbow) | Monday, August 1, 2011 - 10:53 pm give us the option to buy partial orders. Like we need some pluton or weapon grade but don't need 1000 weapon grade or 500 pluton. then we may have more sales |
Solaris (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 01:15 am 1. Make more docking stations available for sellers and lower the cost for buyers - they pay a small commission in game money and do not need a docking station. 2. Put something in place to remind players of when leases are up and payment is due - either the days remaining at the docking station itself or an automated message is sent, perhaps also an e-mail. |
Solaris (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 01:16 am ^^ Or both suggestions for number 2. |
Billy_Bob_Joe_Bob_Steve (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 04:44 am Solaris, I would much rather have the current system. I bought a docking station on Carina so that I could make a profit in GC. I'm actually the owner of the one that you rent. |
Matt Patton (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 05:17 am it seems the only use is for multi world users if trucks is green in one world and red in another they buy trucks and ship em over but space sales are like almost nothing |
Matt Patton (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 05:24 am also what if the prices were in a limited range that way we don't get one for 10000 a GC and another 200 for 1 GC |
Dave (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 08:38 pm I second the partial order thhing and the lower cost of docking fees |
white darkness (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 08:56 pm Kill the docking fees, and there might be some business. And please god, no stupid price limiters, when there weren't docking fees, I rather enjoyed the fact that it was the one place in the game that acknowledged the concept of "caveat emptor". If you think it's too expensive, don't buy it. |
Billy_Bob_Joe_Bob_Steve (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 09:54 pm Partial orders I can agree with. But for people like me who bought a docking station to make a profit, this would completely screw us over. Maybe introduce some kind of grandfather clause. Maybe people who purchased a docking station before that went into effect would still get to rent them out or something. I don't know. But I will be EXTREMELY pissed if I can no longer rent out my docking station. |
white darkness (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 10:44 pm You can always rent them. I own Carina #1. When I bought #1 there was no docking fee. I sold quite possibly the cheapest strategic ammo in space. It wasn't great business, since not many people were interested that early on, but it gave me a little income. I've still got .44GC sitting around from it. Once I restarted, since I started from scratch and all I had was 30GC, 6T in cash, a shuttle and a docking station I couldn't use. I rented the sucker out. Why? I'm not using it, maybe someone else could. I wasn't even aware of the buyer's needing to have a station to buy. I personally consider it foolishness. I've got a bay they can park and load their shuttle up at right there. If someone wants to rent the thing and do the sales that I used to, then fair game to them. Particularly if they make a profit. If someone rents it, so be it, if not, it's something that I've got for when I need it again and it doesn't cost me a thing. |
