dboyd3702 (White Giant) | Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - 03:14 pm Because of cost and availability it currently is impossible to maintain any significant level of high fighting level units do to the amount of Ammunition Quality Upgrades needed. For instance to maintain a small force of Garrison and just the Air Force would take over 10,000,000 units per day (4 game months) and you cannot buy more than 7,000,000 at a time without using gold coins for boosters. That of course would also mean that you could not buy anything else for that country. The best fix for this would be either significantly drop the number of units of Ammunition Quality Upgrades needed to maintain and upgrade military units or increase the number of units that corporations can build and reduce the cost per unit as well. |
NiAi (Fearless Blue) | Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - 07:32 pm aye, GM should make a overall check over the upgrading process. They want this to be a vital feature of the war-engine so it would be nice it was viable and bug free. Costly it should be, but still possible within a normal full spending budget. |
Crafty (Kebir Blue) | Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - 08:59 pm dboyd, once the units are fully upgraded you would have to have one hell of an army to use use that many upgrades to keep it that way. Initially it does take a lot, and there have been lots and lots of calls for it to be looked at but to no avail. One thing you could do is buy high quality weapons and ammo initially but they are still getting diluted in supply units looks like though it has been promised they wont be any more. Not sure if the supply unit dilution has been deleted yet or not. |
dboyd3702 (White Giant) | Monday, June 6, 2011 - 02:56 pm Well, thanks for someone else noticing, but it's getting even worse, down to about 4,000,000 at a time now, soon you will not even be able to maintain what you have, let alone increase anything... |
