VĂ¡li (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - 01:54 pm Once you deploy forces into units you lose you ability to keep track of them. Unless you want to go through endless lists counting, I dont know how many airwings I have, how many supply units etc I have no idea how many of each battery I have deployed in garrisons, or how much ammo I have or need. It would be good to have a forces summary that includes the number of each unit you have and there supply levels. I think our armies deserve the amount of attention our corps get. Much more detailed info please. |
shane vataja (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - 10:30 pm annother thing i would add personaly is how much weapons are needed to finnish deploying the garisons but good idea vali |
Pathetic Sheep (White Giant) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 04:41 am It might help if we could form armies and corps. A army would be a group of 5 or more smaller units. Vali's suggestion would make it harder to find unprepared vulnerable targets. I agree it should be possible to check the amount of ammo currently in stock in a garrison. It would also be handy if you could set a priority delivery for the supply units. |
Andrews Munoz (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, January 24, 2009 - 06:51 pm you should add this seggestion in the excluve voting |
Pathetic Sheep (Little Upsilon) | Monday, February 2, 2009 - 06:00 am To an extent you can check your total active army by looking at the monthly ammo usage. |
Jim (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, February 14, 2009 - 01:39 pm I have just begun to face the daunting task of developing a military capability and was rather surprised to discover that smaller units (battalions) could not be consolidated into brigades, brigades into divisions, and divisions into corps/armies. In addition to the lack of realistic simulation of "real world" simulation, this poses a special problem for the new player. Particularly for those of us just beginning this game, the cost of outfitting an entire division is rather daunting. Without the consolidation feature, however, we are faced with one of two choices: a plethora of battalions to try and keep track of, or excruciatingly slow development of a military capability, either offensive or defensive. I hope W3C will consider adding this capability to the game. |
Danneh Turner (Fearless Blue) | Saturday, February 14, 2009 - 01:49 pm Jim, in the meantime, you can move your units around in groups at least. When you're on the land units screen, you can check the appropriate boxes and then "move selected units to a single point". In this way, you can coordinate the movements of many of your land units (in fact all of them if you so choose). |
The Crafty Cockney (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, February 14, 2009 - 11:33 pm or you can dismantle them and re-build a larger unit with the arms/staff. |
Jim (Golden Rainbow) | Sunday, February 15, 2009 - 09:50 am Thanks for the suggestions, Danneh and CC, both will help! |
