Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, December 7, 2008 - 04:42 am It has been a week since the December awards should have gone out, at least in theory. I held the #1 spot on LU for about a week or two prior, and at least 4 if not 5 days after, the first of December. I should have received that award by now. But sometime on either 5 December or 6 December, two nations obtained Level 6 status, and therefore leapfrogged me. Will one of them get the #1 award, or will the awards reflect that I was in 1st place at the end of/start of the month? I obviously do not want to be punished for the GM's tardiness--the involved nations had about three extra game years to build their defense indexes to 250--because had I seen this as it occurred (I am on vacation and therefore could not check as often), I would have deliberately dropped levels to get the under-30 GC award to preserve my eligibility. |
Alexander Platypus (Little Upsilon) | Monday, December 8, 2008 - 08:41 am yeah i was waiting to see that award too. weird |
John R | Monday, December 8, 2008 - 11:31 am No, they aren't late at all. They are usually given at the 10th. |
Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Monday, December 8, 2008 - 06:41 pm Are they given using the stats on the 10th, or saved stats from the 1st? |
quaxocal (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, December 10, 2008 - 01:20 am Documentation says Noon on the last day of the month is where they check the scores. |
Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, December 10, 2008 - 03:17 am Going by documentation, I am fine. But we all know how out-of-date the documentation is... *sigh* That doesn't answer anything! |
The Crafty Cockney (Kebir Blue) | Wednesday, February 4, 2009 - 11:16 am Could someone be as kind as to clarify the top president award rules please? If you accept a lesser award, below 30GC, you can still claim higher awards if you climb higher? and if you stand still you would get the under 30 GC every month? But if you accept a higher award, that is a one off? Thanks if you can make this black and white for me. CC. |
quaxocal (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, February 4, 2009 - 07:49 pm Your assessment is correct, CC. Accepting 30GC+ means you can't win anything for 2 months. The #1 award means you can't win for 6 months. Anything under 30GC you can win repeatedly. |
Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, February 4, 2009 - 08:04 pm Also, since this thread is actually alive again, I suppose I should answer the question I posed in the OP. Yes, I can confirm that the 1st-of-the-month stats are used for awards from experience, even if the awards themselves are given two weeks late. |
The Crafty Cockney (Kebir Blue) | Friday, February 6, 2009 - 12:02 am okay, thanks for clearing that up gentlemen. |
