I have been raiding inactive players recently and I have 2 questions.
1. Why do some presidents not show when they were active on the country home page?
2. Why do some active players have low rankings when their country scores should place them much higher?

Can't answer the first one, but the answer to your second question is that if a President wins a certain amount of Gold Coins in awards during a month they are made ineligible for more awards for a certain period. The game handles this by artificially moving them to the bottom of the rankings until their "ineligibility" period is over. That's why, if you pay attention in a couple days RL, you'll see a reshuffling of the rankings. |

There are 3 possibilities for the message about presidential activity:
"active in the last week"
"active in the last month"
""
The blank message appears when it has been more than a month since the president logged in. |

1.Unclear on what happened. Possibly it was another country. Each country has it's own inactive status so if someone logs into his leader everyday but not into his slave for over a month then said slave will show inactivity.
2. JMR32 has misspoken just a little. Only HOF(1st place) winners are knocked down to the bottom of the list. If you win an award that is not first place but higher than 30 GCs then yes, you become ineligible for awards for 2 months but your country stays in it's natural "high" position in the rankings.
Also, slaves are kept under all the leader countries in the ranking system. I suppose because slaves are not considered for awards. |

The way I read it is that one effect of keeping non-HOFers on the main list is that fewer awards are given out. In GR, for instance, there are nominally 12 awards to be had. If you click any any of the top 12 countries, it tells you either that they're eligible or why not. If you click on the 13th, there's no mention of awards. So if, say 5 of the top 12 are ineligible and nobody from 13 down gets on, only 7 awards are actually given. |

Wrong. If a player is ineligible then he is skipped. I believe you are right about the popup window that declares ineligibles ineligible...it stops at the number of awards given on that world but in the case you mention, the 17th place finisher will get the 12th place award. |

Hey awesome, thanks for the clarification on who gets knocked down. Must have misunderstood that part of the documentation, or more likely I just blew by that part because I figured it'd be a LONG time before I would be thinking awards. Now, does that also include a HOF members' slaves? |

Not true. A blank message is shown for those that have the option box cleared on their settings that shows whether you want to be shown online or not. I have friends that clear that box and are logged in quite a bit and get that blank message shown that makes you wonder whether or not they have logged in recently.
I make it a point not to mess with a country if it isn't listed clearly that it's president has logged on in the last month. |

T, I have to dispute that. I'm pretty sure the blank message appears only in the case the president hasn't logged into that particular country within the past month.
That message is unrelated to if the online box is checked or not. |

Well I have friends that are logged in frequently yet still display no message whatsoever. Try it and let me know. If someone has not been logged in for over a month and that is left blank as a result, then I need to re-prioritize my inactive raiding regimen.
If I'm wrong I will admit it. But if what you say is true then SC is wrong for not displaying that some of my friends /contacts that are logged in frequently do not have some sort of message displayed to keep them from becoming targets of raiders, because they have indeed been logged into their countries/accounts. |
