"Sorry, your financial situation does not allow you build more installations."

This is referring to water treatment plants. You will distinctly note that this is NOT the "out of spending space for the month" error message.

I checked my spending space, and it is the full 600B...easily enough to pay for the 16 water treatment installations I wanted to buy.

This is a country with a FI in the high 170s, pulling in 200-280B per game month. A few trillion in cash, no debt.

Why the hell would I *NOT* be able to buy water treatment? Is this another one of those POS "support functions" designed to cap my indexes?

Edit: Hell, the game CLOSED six water treatment plants without any peep in the country paper last month. Which is also bull, because I have ten months' of water maintenance on hand.

Country is Evil Woody Thoughts 0 CEO tax on LU if you wanna look.

Mabye it doesn't let an index go past a certain point. The index for water treatment facilities is past 300, the "financial situation" message is probably bad text writing.

I know the game keep limiting my country and corporation salaries due to "financial situation", which has nothing to do with finances really.

I can understand the limit, to prevent well-off players from doing a "score spiral" where they'd spam transportation to get an index in four or five whole digits to pump the score, I suppose.

However, if this is indeed the purpose, the error message displayed should be changed to "your country already has transportation index of 300 and does not need more transportation infrastructure" or some such thing.

I still don't like how the game just destroys "overage" infrastructure. Rather than letting me order 30 water plants and auto-destroying 16 the next month, it should just cap me to ordering 14 water plants. Kind of like the spending space restriction, but this would be more like an "index space" restriction.

Yeah should deactivate or something, like owning infrastructure that can be used in the future. Like what you can currently do with production plants.
