Matthew I | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 07:40 pm Having trouble moving troops through allied countries, once there I get an error: This military unit is not sufficiently supplied for the transport. The unit is waiting for supplies. You can airlift this unit when the supplies have arrived. I've moved a supply unit, but nothing. I tried to setup a remote depot to supply, but it doesn't allow me and when I try to move them at all I now get the above error. Can someone help? |
E O | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 10:46 pm There have been a number of posts about this recently. I think the gms are working on it? I've been having issues but some were resolved by airlifting TONS of supply units. However, I'm still having trouble in my country Phanes on FB with this. Matthew how did your countries get outside your nation? Airlift? Air drop? Drive? |
Matthew I | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:32 pm Airlift. The exact situation is I'm trying to get to country A, but it's too far away so I'm stationing troops in country B then moving to country A. It's two units, an interceptor and now a supply unit but they're both stuck. |
Matthew I | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:38 pm Scratch that, the supply unit made it back to my country, but the interceptor unit is still stuck |
Gaz | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:40 pm I haven't done any landing for a while but someone posted a pic of ungodly amounts of AF being needed per unit. Is your interceptor unit short on AF? Or your country maybe? Guessing here. |
E O | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:46 pm I saw that too Gaz, and it's the exact issue I'm having too. I tried having tons of air transport units and using those for resupply, and then I have lifted in a supply unit PER stranded unit. They don't resupply fast enough. |
Gaz | Monday, August 31, 2020 - 11:48 pm Yeah, when I seen that pic I thought that cant be right |
Matthew I | Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - 02:42 am Oh wow. So yeah, the interceptor unit in question is now negative in suppy. I do have said equipment stocked in my country, but I cannot airlift a supply unit in. I get the error: "This military unit is not sufficiently supplied for the transport. The unit is waiting for supplies. You can airlift this unit when the supplies have arrived." Not really sure where to go from here. I cant move supply units there and I cant seemingly supply the interceptor. Creating a remote depot doesn't seem to be an option, either. Game keeps telling me that no military airport exists when it does. I might try to air drop supplies in fir that's an option? This makes me wonder why we cant supply units via sea transport. As most militaries are in the real world. I wish I could just use the Batavian merchant marine to move needed equipment. |
Gaz | Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - 03:12 am I remember I asked the the GM's to invent supply lines into the game. It would make navies relevant and add a whole new dimension to the war game. Defending supply lines, that kinda thing. Anyway, I think if you make tons of supply units, as many large 1's as you can. The supplies will get there eventually on their own |
Matthew I | Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - 03:26 am I'll give that a try, thank you |
Gaz | Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - 03:28 am In a pinch it's good to use jeeps for supply units. They don't use ammo. Tons of them should speed things up. |
Matthew I | Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - 05:43 am Just to add onto this, I'm almost positive that we're intended to use remote depots to supply foreign units, it's the advice the game actually gives on said unit: Note: there is no Military Base or Remote Depot in the neighborhood of Royal Interceptor Wing 04 to load weapons, gasoline and supplies. Feb 15 4391 Royal Interceptor Wing 04 airlift operation concluded And despite having permissions from said country, we are in Fed, I cannot pick an offensive airport to base out of. So, I think it's glitched, or I somehow just don't have permissions. Country 100% has an airport, so it's got to be something else. Supply units still being put together, so I'll update whenever the unit actually manages to get supplied. |
Matthew I | Friday, September 4, 2020 - 02:31 am Hopefully the reduced supply helps. Still have a unit stuck in a friendly country. |
Jonni | Thursday, September 10, 2020 - 09:46 am We're working on resolving this. @Matthew I Please let us know the supply numbers in your stuck unit? |
Matthew I | Friday, September 11, 2020 - 09:28 pm @Jonni Resource Quantity aircraft fuel -46,000 ton military supplies -628,347 trucks 913 |
E O | Sunday, September 13, 2020 - 08:44 pm I have had a total of 3 wings that I've been unable to return home since before this thread started. 2 in my country "Phanes" on FB, and one in "Charon" on FB. I've tried air dropping supplies and tried airlifting supply units to my remote depots. Pretty frustrating. |
Matthew I | Monday, September 14, 2020 - 05:52 pm That's annoying. Some aren't having this issue, however. I know that during the war with South Korea Union States King was able to deploy and keep forces supplied in an allied territory. Not sure if the mechanics are different, but it just confuses me how someone can fight a war from an allied country, but I can't keep a single interceptor unit supplied in another allied country. Hopefully this can be ironed out |
Andy | Monday, September 14, 2020 - 08:14 pm Please read the game news of today. The situation is resolved once and for all. If you have transport airplanes and you move your units back home, it will always work, independent of the supply situation. more in the game news. |
E O | Monday, September 14, 2020 - 09:34 pm Excellent news, Andy. Thanks for the update Edit: I still get the same error message. "Novell and Bagarat cannot be airlifted because they are short of supplies. You can airlift this unit when the supplies have arrived." |
Andy | Tuesday, September 15, 2020 - 11:27 am The upgrade took a little longer to install. The problem is resolved. It means that you can now bring units back independent of their supply levels. However, using units in war does require them to be supplied. |
Andy | Tuesday, September 15, 2020 - 11:29 am The amounts of fuel used by units is reasonable and did not change for years. If you let a unit sit in another country, with no supplies and keep it there for a very long time, shortages could go through the roof. |
Matthew I | Tuesday, September 15, 2020 - 06:43 pm Yes! I managed to move it back to the motherland. Thanks for the fix. |
