Crafty | Thursday, January 31, 2013 - 06:05 pm I would like to know how come in Central Scrutinizer LU where the population is slowly decreasing, the number of housewives is actually increasing. I have the maximum number of housewives returned to the work force, and the number of CEO employees is not increasing. Looks to me like loads of my population must be having sex changes or entering into same sex marriages. Seriously. Also, shouldnt I expect an increase in births with an increase in housewives? |
Borg Queen | Friday, February 1, 2013 - 05:36 pm Sorry Crafty, it seems the housewives in SC are just sitting in front of the TV all day long eating chips and drinking soda and their husbands dont really want to make love (=children) with em ;P |
Crafty | Friday, February 1, 2013 - 07:31 pm Yeah, I think I'll try training up a whole load of nurses. Guys seem to be more interested in nurses. Is this another question that no one has any response to? I ask a question and everyone ignores it, yet half of you are quick enough to ask me about something you dont understand. Is there no justice in this world? |
Rick | Friday, February 1, 2013 - 08:50 pm Your absolutely right Crafty. With the generous help you offer you do deserve a response. It looks to me like loads of your population must be having sex changes or entering into same sex marriages. Only reasonable explanation I can come up with. |
Laguna | Saturday, February 2, 2013 - 06:04 am While pretty much all age groups are decreasing, those from age 50 to 65 (and all above) are increasing. 65% of your housewives come from these groups. I would like to know how the game computes the share of housewives from each group anyway. It is clear that it is strictly increasing with age though, so you do get more housewives with an ageing population. |
Crafty | Saturday, February 2, 2013 - 04:24 pm So I'm wondering if housewives over the working age count as pensioners. I suppose I could see the game calling a working woman a housewife when she retires, but then the increase in housewives should be the same as increase in retirees, shouldnt it. Else it would seem some pop fall into 2 catagories at the same time, housewives and retired. |
maclean | Sunday, February 3, 2013 - 02:25 pm Possibly lesbians, 2 housewives per household? |
Crafty | Sunday, February 3, 2013 - 03:01 pm Well we should have fertility clinics then, to enable them to have in-vitro babies or whatever its called. As President and dictator over my sim peeps, I think I have been far too liberal. Women in future will be chained to the sink and by law must have one child every 3 years. The age of consent will be lowered to 12 and all females must produce their first offspring by the age of 15. Women over the age of 50 will undergo compulsory fertility tests and if found wanting will enter the food chain or be placed in the rank and file of the army. Natural population growth has been over restricted. |
Space313 | Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - 03:57 am You guys do know that the more professional and educated your population is, that your population won't reproduce as much? If you can, try to transfer the professions of your workers into one of the three unprofessional jobs. |
Crafty | Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - 09:52 pm Ok Space, thank you. Can you tell me now you arrive at that proposition? You may well be right, seems very odd though that the devs would deliberately have such a weighting. |
Space313 | Thursday, April 18, 2013 - 03:09 am Oh its in the help section when you are on the population page, and/or the changing professions of , your citizens page, its not that hard to find. Hope it helps you. |
T Mac | Thursday, April 18, 2013 - 03:13 am Space is correct in the real world, but only the sim-gods can tell you how this world works. Maybe, and I'm just spit-balling here, the devs are uber-geeks who fear women and have no idea how to put them into work, or have them procreate, especially after age 50. If your life expectancy is high won't more women live longer? As the dictator why not just ban contraception? |
