Charles Edwards | Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 09:08 pm I am trying to build a Loan based economy... I have 1.87T out in Loans now. Do I receive interest payments game monthly or is it given per actual month or is it like real life that if you dont pay off in full you continue to pay until it is...? |
Gunther Shamus | Sunday, June 3, 2012 - 05:39 am it is pretty much impossible to have a loan based economy never seen it done you receive payments monthly you can see it on the financial page and you have to pay loans out in full you cant only pay half a loan back its all or nothing |
Glogoth | Sunday, June 3, 2012 - 05:50 am I noticed it has a loan end date... Does this mean that the client nation must pay in full or default? Or does this mean nothing and I continue getting payments? As of right now I make around 20 B income from my loan payments, which covers my costs of operating and leaves some extra, so its possible but It requires constant care. |
Crafty | Tuesday, June 5, 2012 - 01:19 pm It must be paid. The borrowing country will pay back the loan on the said date and then immediately take out another loan if it needs. Its up to you to re-offer the money for borrowing. |
Glogoth | Tuesday, June 12, 2012 - 04:56 am What if you have the maximum amount of loans possible? how does the game repay then? |
Andy | Tuesday, June 12, 2012 - 11:30 pm When you give loans to others, there is no maximum. a country has a maximum but there are many countries. loans are paid back by the country that took the loan. the game takes care of the procedure but does not pay anything. |
Shave | Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - 03:32 am Glogoth! how much in loans do you have out to get that kind of a return? and are you getting that game monthly? |
xiong | Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - 05:17 am not a bad idea, i would like to give out loan too and receive monthly payment on them. when i have a few trillions to loan them out to new players. that's good for the new players that security council just ignore given them money, due to whatever reasons. the more players we have on sc, the better the game would be. though, do i get to set my own terms, such as interest rate and loan period? i think credit line would be exactly for new players, so the borrower can pay whatever amount his/her country can, and charge interests on the outstanding balance. hope the gm can oversee such contract like credit line. |
Glogoth | Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - 06:54 am No... I have alot of loans against me... And I had my answer made for me... The game automatically pays the issuer of the loan regardless of current cash amounts on hand... |
Andy | Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - 09:18 am As of now, loans are very secure investments. you get your money back on time and you get interest each game month. conditions are fixed. I am not sure it can work on a very large scale because many are doing financially OK and others use gold coins to get game money and pay back their loans. This does not mean that the market for loans is dead. there are many loan takers. |
Charles Edwards | Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - 11:23 am This is true... Most of my economy is based on Loans . I have almost 3T out as me being the issuer of the loan I make about 20B alone from the payments, plus the loan is paid in full later on, so no real loss... |
Glogoth | Sunday, June 17, 2012 - 06:13 am I spent a lot of time on the loans section of the game and I have seen a few things which lead me to ask these next few questions: If players can request loans, why doesnt it give the player a chance to browse loan offers and pick the one best for them? Why does the game let those who offer loans set a time limit for repayment, but all loans received come in a 32 month limit regardless? |
Gunther Shamus | Sunday, June 17, 2012 - 07:16 am ive wondered about that aswell |
Automag | Sunday, June 17, 2012 - 10:13 am Seems to me like the developing team forgot to finish that one lol |
