Globbo | Thursday, April 26, 2012 - 02:37 am My enterprise has several companies that struggles with getting enough workers. When I go to check the countries they are in, I usually find that there is unemployment in every category. Why isn't the company hiring these people? I have been increasing the salaries, but that doesn't seem to help. |
Scarlet | Thursday, April 26, 2012 - 03:30 am If there is a lack of workers in just one category in the country, other categories will not hire employees. Like say you have: Worker A - 10,000 total Worker B - 5,000 total Worker C - 10,000 total And the hypothetical full hiring is 10,000 of each. The result will be 5,000 of each worker hired. 5,000 of the other two categories will be unemployed because of the shortage in category B. |
Globbo | Thursday, April 26, 2012 - 04:34 am There is unemployment in EVERY category. Many thousands. |
Keto | Thursday, April 26, 2012 - 05:08 am Is your hiring set to 100%? And whats the name of your CEO and what world? |
Marshal Trumm | Thursday, April 26, 2012 - 04:07 pm Set your salaries to 400, and you shouldn't have a problem anymore. |
Globbo | Friday, April 27, 2012 - 02:37 am World Little Upsilon CEO Globbo Enterprise Stolen Property Look for example at the company Danbury Gas, located in The Democratic Union of Birga Hi Unemployment: LLW 733835 MLW 546929 HLW 309100 LLM 23581 MLM 22722 HLM 9332 Ex 13492 HTE 18132 HTS 26218 HTX 12074 I have jobs for these people! They wouldn't get me to 100%, but hiring should at least be 25% higher, when there would be no more HTEs Also, salary level 400? That is going to take a while... Currently at 190 and climbing. |
Kitsune | Friday, April 27, 2012 - 03:00 am Here is your main problem in The Democratic Union of Birga Hi.
High Tech People | | | | | Engineers | Seniors | Execs | Total Unemployed: | 18132 | 26218 | 12074 | Needed for 100% Production: | 275879 | 58750 | 3595 | | There just aren't enough high tech engineers. |
Globbo | Saturday, April 28, 2012 - 05:20 am But the question still remains, why are there 18132 unemployed HTEs? |
maclean | Saturday, April 28, 2012 - 07:14 pm The corps will only hire "across the board", so if you are short of HTSs, or HLWs, it will not hire any more workers of any class until the worst shortage is made good. e.g., If you have a surplus of 100,000 of every class of worker, except you are short of High Level Managers, they will not hire anyone at all until High Level Managers are available in sufficient numbers. |
Globbo | Sunday, April 29, 2012 - 01:51 am *sigh* We are going around in circles here. There were large unemployment in EVERY category. The company could have hired 25% more of EVERY category without running into shortages. At that point, HTEs would have become a problem, but we never reached that point. |
Crafty | Sunday, April 29, 2012 - 12:36 pm Things to check: Hiring and production for the corps is set to 100%, not automatic. You say these are CEO corps, look at the salaries of other corps in the country, yours will have to at least match them if not exceed, though if theres enough unemployed to support all your corps needs it should hire regardless of salary. Patience is needed, corps will only increase their hiring by 10% a month. If you're having problems getting your salaries high enough to be competetive quickly enough, as they only rise 10 a month too, then you can buy salarly boosters for you CEO (1GC each) which you can use to double that rate. PRO TIP: When it comes to extending your CEO registration, instead of just paying 30GC, buy 30 boosters. The registration still happens and you get the additional bonus of these boosters. This works for empires too (buy the boosters for you main country). |
