Hi

I have turned off automatic settings
I am a premium member

why does my trade strategies reset hours after I set them?? its getting more than annoying!

I want 30 above market price following quality with a 8% decrease. I set it. All looks fine.

Then when i log back in, the settings reset to default. why is this happening?

Because the game is broken and the people responsible for fixing and maintaining it wont acknowledge it or do anything about it.

Right.

Its the beginners economic protection automation setting (the top one)

Although the beginners automation settings are supposed to be void at lvl4. For some reason they are not (at least for me), so uncheck if your having simular problems - GameMaster is looking into it.

cheers x

Nice. I'm really glad you got an answer and the GM are looking to see if this feature is working as it should be. Good luck.

Country Automation Features have no effect on countries in Game Level 6.
As of Game Level 4, a president should have the skills to run a country.
Beginners and general economic protection remains effective.

That is what is written in the automation settings.....it comes up in a box at the top from your main country

So at up to lvl 6 you will still get it kicking in(if needed),is how i read it

Game level 7 mine says. But yes, you're right, that is there. It is a relatively new thing though, I never read that before. I think thats too high, Lvl 6, for the auto to still be kicking in. Especially if the auto help does the damage that most people seem to report.

53. Support functions and interventions [ top ]

The support system is part of simcountry for a long time but was never explained in details in a single document but rather bits of information were published on the game news and the forum. Recently a new part is added to the system, with interventions in countries that have unacceptable low levels of money. A new document is being prepared and is intended to explain all the details.

The current upgrade of simcountry includes a better tuned support and intervention feature that is updated to current loan levels, acceptable cash shortages and current exchange rates and values of assets.

Countries owned by beginners are supported in the first 90 days. Also players in game levels 1, 2 and 3 are supported in various ways. In addition, there are interventions in countries that are failing economically, including countries with very low cash levels. The simcountry support system can be turned off by both beginners and by other players in the first 3 levels and the interventions will stop.
The forced interventions in countries that are nearly bankrupt cannot be stopped. These interventions will automatically stop when the unacceptable conditions cease to exist.

The document will be added to the simcountry documentation on Nov. 8. (game news nov 2nd)

Quote:

In addition, there are support functions that help new players in balancing their education system, prevent financial losses and support the economy in other ways to make sure the countries can prosper. Some of these support functions were only triggered if a player did not login for several days.

All support stopped after 180 or 360 days or when the country reached game level 4. There is no support for countries that are part of an empire.

8. Automation Functions [ top ]

To make it easier for starters, but also for others, playing in Game levels 1,2 and 3, Simcountry has several automation functions that are turned on by default for every new player.

The automation functions help players in advancing the country to a balanced economy and solve initial problems that might arise when a beginner is trying to tune education, health and manage orders or tune employment in the country.

The automation functions do not try to improve the country beyond game level 3 and will stop working when the country reaches level 4. The automation functions will not push education, transportation, healthcare or employment to very high levels but will help in the development of the country in the early stages.

So basically the documents, game news and pages in the game all seem to say different things. It is as clear as mud.

GM, could you do some joined up thinking on this and maybe publish what the real situation is. There are 3 scenarios at the moment, stated in three different parts of the game, which is right?

Yep, that happens everywhere to everyone, lord knows why.

The issue really is trade strats. Small worker changes dont matter much. Constantly losing corps do. Seems strange to me that the settings the help set someone to are the same as a C3 is set to. So I presume the GM is thinking this will work for countries going bad, but player corps dont have the magic help that C3s do, as we all know. We cant make 185 product with 100 supplies! and the other advantages they have.

Anyways, you people having problems with this are going to need to raise the cash in your country, and probably getting indexes up too will help.
