a9fc8yt3kd1 (Fearless Blue) | Saturday, December 10, 2011 - 10:24 pm OK, I see that a section about stealth bombers, describing their capabilities, has been added to the game documentation now. However, although the game documentation clearly shows that stealth bombers will be a difficult challenge for enemy air-defense, because they're hard to hit, I can not yet find anywhere where the game documentation explains exactly HOW difficult it is for enemy interceptors or anti-aircraft missiles to shoot them down. This is very critical tactical information, and I would like to know when and where I will be able to find it. |
a9fc8yt3kd1 (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, December 11, 2011 - 12:18 am No, it isn't all listed in the documents! Here's the complete documentation on stealth bombers: 35. Stealth Bombers [ top ] Stealth Bombers are used in attacks against many types of military units, garrisons and weapons. They are effective against air force and land units, against nuclear forces and navy ships. Stealth bombers are very effective because they are extremely hard to hit and their ammunition, laser guided, is precise and effective. The bombers cannot be used against civilian targets. Stealth bombers have a unique feature that makes them an important part of any serious army. The stealth bomber wings are capable of automatic attacks against your enemy in case of war. When war starts and your country is attacked, stealth bomber units will automatically respond and attack your enemy as a reaction to attacks on your country. Unlike defensive weapons that are used to attack the launching weapons or try to reduce the attacking power of the weapons used by the enemy, stealth bomber wings will initiate attacks on your enemy, destroying air force attack wings or other military units. The stealth bomber wings may decide to attack enemy units that did not participate in attacks or the nuclear weapons held by your enemy. Stealth bomber Wings are small and their cost is high, both in the initial purchase, their ammunition and their maintenance. The cost is such that their manual use can be questionable and they should be used mainly because of their automatic attack capabilities. The above documentation says that stealth bombers are "extremely hard to hit", but it doesn't say exactly HOW hard they are to hit. I am anxious to find out EXACTLY how much of a chance one of my interceptors or anti-aircraft batteries has to shoot down a stealth bomber, but when I look at the documentation for interceptors or anti-aircraft batteries, and look at the list of targets against which they are effective, stealth bombers are not even listed. Interceptors documentation: 10. Interceptors [ top ] Interceptors are used in defense against attacks by enemy air force. When your country is attacked by Bombers, Navy aircraft, drones or strategic bombers, interceptors will attack the incoming aircraft and try to destroy them. Building a large air force with many interceptor wings is a good strategy. Interceptor wings act when the country is attacked. If the country has defensive radar planes, interceptor wings are sent to the attacked locations as the radar planes can direct the defense. If no radar planes are available or they have been destroyed, interceptor wings will be sent to many locations and only a small number will be available at the attacked sites. Interceptors Base Defensive air base Deployment Automatic deployment in response to attacks. Crew 3 officers and 11 soldiers Ammunition Interceptor missiles Range Up to 4000 Use per action 6 missiles per interceptor per fighting round Effective Attack helicopters and Navy helicopters: hit rate: 60% damage: 100% Fighter planes and navy fighter planes: hit rate: 15% and 7% damage: 100% Bombers: hit rate: 6% damage: 100% Long range radar planes and transport planes: hit rate: 25% damage: 100% Drones: hit rate: 40% damage: 100%. Can be destroyed by Strategic bombers: hit rate: 15% damage: 100%. Offensive anti aircraft missiles, Fighter planes and Navy fighter planes. |
