Buzz Aldrin (White Giant) | Sunday, January 30, 2011 - 12:36 am Hi, I have an Enterprise and two countries. I am running an aircraft fuel corporation in the enterprise which seems to be making a massive loss, due mostly to the cost of supplies and in particular the cost of oil. I had thought I could maybe overcome this problem by creating a contract with one of the the corporations in my countries to sell oil to the aircraft fuel corporation in the enterprise on an ongoing monthly contract basis. However, it seems to be the case that it is only possible to set this up on a one off direct sale basis rather than an ongoing monthly basis. This seems a bit silly to me as it is possible to create ongoing contracts to sell products from enterprise corporations to country corporations and from country corporations to other country corporations but not from country corporations to enterprise corporations. Would anyone know the reason for this? It seems a bit of a shame to me as I would have liked to have kept the aircraft fuel corporation running but it is draining off money so I will probably have to close it. |
spires (White Giant) | Sunday, January 30, 2011 - 05:06 am An ongoing contract will not make your aircraft fuel corp profitable. If your oil is of very high quality, you will end up overpaying. Just buy oil at cheaper price. Look at other Enterprise to see if there is any aircraft fuel that makes profit and follow them. |
swann_88 (Golden Rainbow) | Sunday, January 30, 2011 - 05:50 am you have to search under the country that the corporation is in when creating a contract I found this confusing at first too a better way to do this is to use the common market pages but as spires said you should order your oil at 100 quality from the market since you use more oil than any other product to make fuel then set up contracts for the rest of the supplies used so you still produce a good quality product |
Buzz Aldrin (White Giant) | Sunday, January 30, 2011 - 09:32 pm Thanks for the advice guys. I'll have a look for some other aircraft fuel companies for ideas and see if I can find some cheap oil. If that fails then I expect I'll close the corporation. Thanks. |
