Alexander Jones (White Giant) | Saturday, December 26, 2009 - 11:45 am Hi. I am not sure what I did wrong. It was all working fine with my contracts and stuff. Now for some reason I have to go and offer my product for sale manually each month. I had built up four months inventory before I found that page...with the little skip and offer button. I had gone through each individual company and switched the button for automatic product retainment but it seems just to switch back to manual each month. My auto settings are on auto purchase of supplies and offering product for sale. What else could be causing this? Sincerely, Mr. Alexander Jones |
Plato (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 26, 2009 - 05:10 pm Look under automation - automation settings. On that page is a section called "Selling Production." Make sure you have the right boxes checked. |
Petra Arkanian (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, December 27, 2009 - 08:09 am Your sale strategies might be set too high. On the other hand, your sale strategies might be just fine and the market condition is poor. A market showing large surplus sometimes causes corps to retain product. EDIT: As a general rule of thumb, you want to set your sale strats to "break even" in 3-4 months tops. What I mean by that is, for example: over 40, minus 10, the price breaks even on quality in 4 months. 30/-10 does it in 3. Except in the most extreme markets, you should never set for over 60. This isn't really for the whole 'product retention' thing, since 2 months unsold product will bring up the "too high" message anyways. It's just a general note to keep in mind. |
Alexander Jones (White Giant) | Sunday, December 27, 2009 - 09:16 am Thanks for the tips Petra. The problem is that the product isn't being offered automatically. Each month I have to go under "manage " contracts and offer the product from there. |
CraftyCockney | Sunday, December 27, 2009 - 10:34 am Can you explain a bit better for stupid ole me Alexander? Do you mean product is not being retained for contracts you have, or no product is being offered on the WORLD market? If I read your post right, be sure you aren't contracting more than production, also the supplying corp page should show how much it is retaining each month, check this is non zero. Re-check your contracts are still valid and lastly, I assume your corps are producing at at least 100%? Crafty |
Alexander Jones (White Giant) | Sunday, December 27, 2009 - 01:34 pm Crafty...no product is being retained for world market. I cancelled all my country's contracts thinking that was causing the problem. My ceo contracts are still functioning but it also retains product and does not offer any for sale. I went thru each corp and switched the botton to "automatic" but the next month it goes back to manual. I think it happened when I was trying to direct trade with my ceo with one of my country's corps(no contract) but am kind of clueless. It was working fine all along. Pretty close to 100 percent production most months. The first time it happened i had four months unsold but once I offered it everything sold that next month. I'll do some more checking i guess. I know it must be something i did. Thanks for everyones help. |

J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, December 27, 2009 - 04:00 pm Look at Plato's input. He is absolutely correct. I had same problem way back. That is how prob was corrected. |
