J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 06:06 am How do I go about reducing my low level workers or at least changing them to something else ? Will they at some time be promoted to medium or high level workers or will they get educated and go into the technical workers group ? thanks jcuesta the cuesta solution little upsilon |
Plato (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 02:11 pm 1. Build up your education index. 2. Build up your army 3. Build corps that use few if any tech people. |
J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 03:05 pm education index over 200 i have alot of defensive and offensive weapons. do i need to activate them and have the low level workers flow to them ? Not sure how this works. would rather not build corps right now while i am trying to have ceo's build here. thanks alot for your response. I probably should know more about this game as long as i have been on here. I work shifts and work alot and cannot spend the time that i probably need researching every aspect that i need. Any further advise will be most appreciated. cuesta |
Tranquility (Golden Rainbow) | Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 09:25 pm you can do worker trades, too. take C3 countries and trade out LLWs for more useful stuff |
Joe3811 (Golden Rainbow) | Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 11:18 pm Sometimes players will do you a favor and trade you skilled workers for LLW's. It's good to have a history of helping other players, they'll do their best to repay a favor. Are you in a Fed. Fed mates will help you by trading skilled workers for your LLW's, just because it's in their interest to have you as strong as possible. |
J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Monday, December 7, 2009 - 12:28 am Not in a fed. How do i take a C3 country ? sorry for the dumb question |
Tranquility (Kebir Blue) | Monday, December 7, 2009 - 04:37 am declare war on it and attack it and reduce the war index to 0 Use airdropped special forces to paint the country, fighters+drones to kill the c3's air defense. Clear garrisons with bombers, blow up the capital and then either the cities or the state factories with drones or cruise missiles. It might be better to destroy factories since that frees up workers for you to trade faster. or if you're next to the country, use long range divisions with 2500 heavy artillery+1000 heavy tanks to do the blowing up instead of missiles (it's cheaper). You can also use the LRDs to clear defenses instead of bombers, but you'll lose about ~100 artillery per target. When attacking targets in a country that you are next to with air units, make sure to have a ground unit within 35km of the target or you'll use horrific amounts of ammo. |
Plato (Little Upsilon) | Monday, December 7, 2009 - 04:47 am Also, if you are going to use C3s to balance your pop, raise salaries in the countries that you are going to send LLW's out of. This will raise their value and get you more skilled workers, while maintaining the pop in the country. Pop is the most valuable resource in the game. Also, if this population imbalance is due to pop purchases, remember that pop which you purchase comes in the same ratio as current unemployed labor. So if you have 0 HTE and buy 1M pop, you will still have 0 HTE's. I am surprised how few people understand/know this. |
Joe3811 (Golden Rainbow) | Monday, December 7, 2009 - 06:53 pm Thanks Plato---I didn't know that! I've been playing for 9 months and thought pop came in the same percentages as the sending country. |
J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, December 8, 2009 - 12:59 am wow thanks tranquility and plato i had no idea about that guess i have to look at the documentation to see how to go about creating military units. Basically though i am pretty much stuck with all my llw's if I end up not invading a C3 then. |
Adrian Perez (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 11:24 pm One thing that I have found extremely helpful is to have an army and to have a higher than 220 Education index. (as I am now, I have too few unskilled workers!) |
J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 11:41 pm education index 220 guess i need to activate my army. just didn't want to go broke doing it. thanks alot |
Plato (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 11:42 pm Cuesta, You would be surprised at how quickly a good education system can fix a problem of too many low level workers. Also, when buying pop you have to be careful because you will get a "population" bubble which will cause a lot of trained workers to all retire at once. This creates a major headache as it works through. Treasurer put all of this on a spreadsheet once and basically buying pop creates a lot of problems for your pop age distributions. |
J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, December 17, 2009 - 01:23 pm should i go higher than 220 Plato ? |
Plato (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, December 17, 2009 - 02:12 pm If you have bought a lot of pop a higher Ed Level will work through the bubble quicker. My personal goal is 225-250. |
J Cuesta (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, December 19, 2009 - 04:26 pm ok working on it then thanks |
