Augustus Caesar (Little Upsilon) | Monday, March 16, 2009 - 06:55 am How do I bring the factory maintenance units quality down to 100 on all the corporations I build?I have set the quality on 190,but I want to bring the fmu quality down to 100.Could some one explain this to me?Thank's in advance, for you're help. |
Zdeněk Pavlovský (Fearless Blue) | Monday, March 16, 2009 - 07:43 am There is no way to control supply quality for every kind of supply product individually, but to supply selected product manually. In case overall quality of supplies is set to x, but supplies quality of y desired for individual products, the only way to achieve that is to supply manually. That means buying supplies at y quality, storing them in country/CEO, then selling them to corporations through "World Trade" -> "enterprise trading with your own corporations" screen. Another way could be using Common/Local market with corporations producing supply quality y for desired product, but that could prove troublesome. |
Augustus Caesar (Little Upsilon) | Monday, March 16, 2009 - 11:44 am I don't know how to do this, but I need a step by step guide if you don't mind do this for me,it's a little complicated but I can learn this new trade if possible.Thank's.I also know the quality should be around 190 mark, the max is 250 quality, but the quality stops at 296 for full high sale quality, correct me if I'm wrong.I had another look around in the supplies trade market,I still don't know where I am going wrong. The only option I can think off,is doing through the common market if I open one for myself and then buy thousands of factory maintenance units at 100 quality and then get the fmu corporation to buy the fmu through the country supply is that correct,if not please explain me again?Thank's again with all you're help. |
Zdeněk Pavlovský (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - 01:47 am step by step well .. World Trade -> products in stock: buy and sell -> buy .. whatever you want at desired quality once delivered, once in stock World Trade -> enterprise trading with your own corporations -> sell -> Enter the number of tons you want to sell to each corporation. you can pick quantity and specific corporations. Regarding the infamous "296". To my knowledge, the max price one can get is 296/297 of the market price. When selling on World market, price is determined by quality and mark up (set by trading strategies). Thus when producing product with quality of 296 one does not need any mark up, or in other words any mark up will not affect the price of product sold. So there are basically 2 approaches to selling on world market: 1. produce as close to the max (296) and use little or no mark up 2. produce such quality that when mark up is added, the final price will be close to the max (296) What is better? I would suggest to do your own testing, however, supplies quality of 190 has any use only for State or National corps with 200 upgrades. |
Augustus Caesar (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - 04:43 am Thank's,I'll see what I can do. |
Augustus Caesar (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - 05:20 am I think I have worked it out now, correct me if I'm wrong again.World Trade->Country Trading with your own corporations, then click the factory maintenance units if there are any in stock which I have ordered 200,000 units. And the quality is 100,but when they do start, will that means the quality of fmu will drop to 100 or not?correct me again, thank's.Many thank's to you. |
Zdeněk Pavlovský (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - 05:59 am Eventually, "it" will "drop" yes. If your corps have FMU in stock already, such stock has certain quality. After you manually supply it with 100 quality, the end result does not have to be 100, but some kind of average. After some time supplying them manually, however, the quality should be 100. |
Augustus Caesar (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - 07:01 am Fortually, that did'nt work what I tried to do,the only other option I can do is manually like you said.I think we need to put up a proposal vote and ask the players to see if they want the gamemaster to put in the atomatic option on the set quality on all corporations with the things they make.It may not make much sense at all,but I'm just thinking out loud. What do you think? You might have something better to explain the players on the new vote? |
Zdeněk Pavlovský (Fearless Blue) | Wednesday, March 18, 2009 - 07:45 am actually yes, in the light of the "296 cap", the ability to set quality for individual products used for supplies could be useful. at the same time, one should be able to set level of product produced through quality upgrades, in addition of capping production quality with supplies. |
