Prince Singh (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - 10:29 pm Everyone starts out at 20 fortifications and i had been thinking about maxing them out to 100, i just wanted to know what they do and do they cost people to keep running or anything else i should know about them. Also when u disband a air attack unit like mine that has 730 planes and the ammunition stuff, when i go to the screen it tells me that all my ammunition stuff will go back to my bases but it doesnt tell me that my 730 planes will go back to my offensive chart so i can use them to create a new attack unit. Do my planes come back to me or do they just dissapear or what happens? |
General X (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - 10:43 pm 1}Forts increase your war index and can block enemy units invading your country and i think they are a little harder too destroy than other targets. They do cost money just like all weapons that you have to pay every month. 2}When you disband any unit(including air attack units),the weapons that are in the unit that gets disbanded automatically get transferred back to your base and can be used for building other units. |
Treasurer (White Giant) | Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - 11:59 pm Yep. Both are correct. |
Prince Singh (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 01:24 am 1. i get that i wanted to know if it cost people for the forts??? 2. so my fighter planes will be gone, and I will have to use more money to build more of them right?? 3. also i conquered a c3, and my newspaper tells me that people are complaining about construction shortages but i can't find any place to order like more, it doesn't really let me do anything about it, i can't seem to figure out how to fix it. |
General X (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 01:35 am 1) i already stated that forts do cost money just like ALL weapons do,but i cant tell you the exact costs are. 2)NO,youre fighters will still be in your country and you can use them to build more units if you want. 3)to order construction just go on the side bar WORLD TRADE then find PRODUCTS IN STOCK:BUY AND SELL and you might have to scroll down a bid and you will find CONSTRUCTION. |
Prince Singh (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 01:43 am ok got it thanks man, by the way are Rapid Deployment units the ones i need to transport ground troops to a faraway country. I can't seem to figure it out since when i go to make a transport unit, it tells me that i need transport planes, i can't find those anywhere in the buy weapons place. I can only find R.D.Units and aircraft carriers(what do these do by the way.) |
General X (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 01:47 am look for Military Transport Airplanes those are the ones you need |
Treasurer (White Giant) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 03:50 am Forts do not require soldiers by themselves unless you want to protect them with garrisons. (Good idea to do so) What you are looking for is Military Transport Planes for transporting RD units. Aircraft carriers carry Navy Fighter Planes. But you need a Fleet Command first. Then you need to protect them with Navy Int Batteries and Navy Missile Batteries. |
Prince Singh (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 05:51 pm Ok so... -Transport Planes for transporting RD units. -Aircraft carriers carry Navy Fighter Planes So how do we get our tanks/atillery/and other stuff across borders or we can't, we can only use RD units for far away wars?? |
quaxocal (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 09:17 pm Forts actually DO use military, and quite a bit too. |
Prince Singh (Golden Rainbow) | Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 03:39 am Ok so... -Transport Planes for transporting RD units. -Aircraft carriers carry Navy Fighter Planes So how do we get our tanks/atillery/and other stuff across borders or we can't, we can only use RD units for far away wars?? |
Stuart Taylor (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 03:44 am Use Military Transport aircraft for far away wars for ALL military. But they DO have a range - so it helps to have friendly countries. If the country is right on your border, just get your units to move into it!!! But dude, cut down on the amount of threads you start. You have 4 threads going at the moment all asking for help - and all started in the last few days. If you carry on, people will ignore you as they will class it as spam. |
Andrews Munoz (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 06:45 am gente de mierd.....!! |
Pathetic Sheep (Little Upsilon) | Friday, January 23, 2009 - 02:06 am The post by treasurer is incorrect. Forts and bases have a staff. That is in addition to any garrison. For defensive assets there is a list in the documentation. The documentation says a fort uses 1800 soldiers and 360 officers. Sometimes the numbers change. You can check the numbers buy looking at your "change the profession of workers" link under employment. The "number needed for new facilities" will go up when you buy something. Check the workers needed before and after the purchase. |
Pathetic Sheep (Little Upsilon) | Friday, January 23, 2009 - 02:08 am In addition to salaries the staff consumes military supplies and military services. I think the fort's staff does not consume gasoline but the garrison does. |
Prince Singh (Golden Rainbow) | Friday, January 23, 2009 - 05:43 pm any of u guys/gals have a clue how to move around ur forts to wherever u want to. I see people have adjusted their forts to get maximum defense out of them but i couldn't find out how to do this? |
Stuart Taylor (Little Upsilon) | Friday, January 23, 2009 - 05:59 pm It dosnt matter where they are in your country - it just looks pretty!!!! If you have 100 forts all stacked on top of each other they will still count towards your countries WI. If you want to move them - click on map customisation on your countries main screen..... Oh - and you really don't need a defence in your main after you have a slave, so I wouldn't spend too much time on it! |
Alexander Platypus (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, January 24, 2009 - 07:53 am stuart - think it *does* matter where you put the forts. they can block enemy movements. at least non-experienced enemies might find them some hindrance. |
Treasurer (White Giant) | Saturday, January 24, 2009 - 11:18 pm You can recall troops and rely on garrison levels only, at least that is my understanding. If you use garrisons as your defense and you reduce the garrison level to zero, would they not in fact be undefended? |
William B. Travis (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 11:52 am I'm not being allowed to rename my units. Always get invalid name come up. Didn't do it when first set up nation. Any ideas why? |
Jim (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, February 14, 2009 - 02:16 pm I've found a lot of useful information on this thread, and thank all of the prior posters. While on the topic of forts, can you disband the garrison in the existing forts and replace them with a garrison template of your own creation (much smaller in forts my main!), or do you have to go into each fort individually to adjust weapons, supplies, etc? And how do you reduce the number of personnel assigned to forts? Following up on Mr. Travis's question, I've discovered that the game won't accept a unit name beginning with a numeral. The first character must be alpha, and it's really frustrating that I can't build the 82nd and 101st Airborne or the 10th Mountain Special Forces, or even the 7th Cavalry. This little fix shouldn't be too difficult for W3C's programmers. Thanks for your help. |
The Crafty Cockney (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, February 14, 2009 - 11:27 pm Jim, from your war menu go to garrisons and set up blueprints, make a blueprint to what you require with a name, then from deploy garrisons, click forts and apply your new blueprint to all. Might take a few game months to fufill new blueprint. |
