Daelin (Little Upsilon) | Monday, December 29, 2008 - 07:19 pm Is there a way to get Investment Funds to let go of stock? It seems there's a way to limit your bidding to below market value (using the Limited Price strategy) but I can't seem to find a way to bid higher than market value to get an Investment Fund to release some stock of yours that they purchased. |
Aleksander (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, December 30, 2008 - 10:09 pm If an investment fund has shares in a corp that you control, you can get them to sell by raising the PE. The easiest way to do this, though Treasurer uses a different method, is to lower production. Sales will fall and the PE will rise. The Gamemaster never lets go, so give up hope of getting that back under your control. |
The Crafty Cockney (Kebir Blue) | Wednesday, December 31, 2008 - 12:07 am offer about 10% above market price for shares and they should sell. Dont buy too many in one go or price will jump. limited price set to market value + 10%. |
Pathetic Sheep (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, December 31, 2008 - 03:23 am It used to be that investment funds bought when shares had a P/E between 30 and 70. That would also mean investment funds won't ever sell between the high and low numbers. I think the numbers have changed but I haven't looked into it. Dropping production is one way to drop earnings (E). if you lower E then P/E will go up very high. You can also move the corporation to one of your countries and raise salaries to obscene heights. Income taxes used to be 58%. Taxes will also cut into earnings. |
