aryonoco (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, December 28, 2008 - 03:17 am I'm having trouble balancing my workers. I have lots of Low Level Workers, but lack enough Mid Level and High Level workers. My education is at 200, and I also have high number of back-to-works schools (as many as universities). How can I get this balance right? What should I do to produce more mid-level and high-level workers? |
ManseEverard (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, December 28, 2008 - 04:16 am Just re-educate 50,000 professionals into workers every month. |
aryonoco (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, December 28, 2008 - 06:45 am I've been doing that, for years now. It's not enough. Still lack of Mid Level and High Level workers. with a 40 mil population, 50,000 doesn't make a dent. |
The Crafty Cockney (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, December 28, 2008 - 07:03 pm you say education is 200, do you mean index or priorty total? If prority, re-organise to get 116 - 118 total, this should cool down your education a bit to give you more workers, less skilled. When things stabilise, get priority total back to 120. Balance schools/highschools/uni's too. This sort of works for me, but balancing worker numbers can be a problem, I'll agree. |
Pathetic Sheep (White Giant) | Monday, December 29, 2008 - 09:03 am Capture a CCC and exchange workers. Give the unemployed low level workers jobs in the army. In the long run high, mid, and low level workers balance themselves out. If you buy population or suddenly educate lots of housewives you should have too many low level workers for awhile. You may have built a lot of new corporations and bought up the effectivity of all of them. Instead try building a few corporations that use mostly low level workers and run them with no upgrades. You can build high tech products later and just destroy the companies you didn't upgrade. |
aryonoco (Kebir Blue) | Monday, December 29, 2008 - 03:22 pm @Pathetic Sheep: Do Back-to-works schools only create low-level workers? This might be the answer to my problem, as I have built many of them. @ The Crafty Cockney: I mean index is 200. Priority is about 120. Thanks for the tip though Thanks for help everyone. But to me, this issue of balancing workers is a bit of mystery, cause it seems like we don't have any direct say in how they are distributed. Maybe it's because I play the game a bit different (I have no army or no state corps, I run purely 0% tax haven for private corporations) which makes it even more difficult for me to balance everything. |
