Charles III (Kebir Blue) | Friday, November 7, 2008 - 08:17 am Can someone please explain to me how Garrison works to set up defence. I have tried for a while now (2 or 3 real days) to get garrison units to my important points, but have been completly unsuccesful. For example, I want to send a small garrison to my capital... I go to the "deply garrison" screen and try to deply a unit, my "planned weapons" goes to 501, but my "current weapons" remains at zero (after two real days.) I considered that it might be because I dont have any nuclear defence, and there is "1" in the default profile. I created a new profile containing only troops I did have, but that did not yield better results (also, is it possible to create a small (~500) weapon unit without using the nuke defence?) I also have 2 inactive supply units, so I dont think that is the problem. Can someone help me? I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Thanks! |
Angus88 (Little Upsilon) | Friday, November 7, 2008 - 08:53 am A garrison blueprint is just that a blueprint. Lets say you make a garrison blueprint of 200 nuclear defense batteries only (don't). Nothing will change. If you deploy the garrison blueprint to all of your fortifications then to completely fulfill the defense you will need 200 nuclear defense batteries for each fortification. If you deploy that blueprint to every town after wards you will need 200 for each fortification and town. If you don't have enough to fulfill the garrison commitment whatever you have will be divided (not equally always) between what you deployed your garrison to. Note that if you obtain more fortifications, towns, military bases, etc. the garrison blue print will not deploy to these new positions unless you reorder them to. Also garrisons are dismantled and deployed by supply units, so if it seams to be taking a while even though you have enough units you might think about getting more supply units. |
Kaiten (Little Upsilon) | Friday, November 7, 2008 - 01:54 pm You need supply units to actually move stuff to the garrison as well. |
