I have a lot to learn on this game, so i can't say this is the complete answer. I suspect that the "296" quality came when you first started and the numbers shown were those when your country had "no president". I've read elsewhere that "no president " countries are able to violate rules we have to obey. When you first start you'll see some of these unrealistic numbers. it's essiential that you look at start salary levels, and bring them to a max or 175%, and realize that the quality figures at the start will soon revert to zero 'till you do some upgrades.

What I do is go to "trade strategies" option. There you can select quality and pricing. I'd have to go back through the process to give you more details. If you'd like more info let me know and I'll walk myself through the process can i can come up with details on the steps. Message me as I only look at the forum occasionally.

From the "My Corporations" page, select "Upgrades" at the top of the page. A screen will come up wherein you can select one or more corporations for upgrades. At the bottom of that screen is the option to auto-order upgrades for all corps. Most folks, including myself, would strongly recommend that you do select auto-upgrades for all of your corps. When effectivity and quality max out, the automatic ordering of upgrades stops.
