Great Britannia (Fearless Blue) | Friday, October 3, 2008 - 04:06 am My employment index is mid extreme low, and i would like to know what is the best Education Priorities you put for you're education for different types of workers. I'd like a Direct answer and not hints, I won't understand it. |
Warren Buffett (Little Upsilon) | Friday, October 3, 2008 - 04:41 am Go to build a corporation and see what type of workers your country lacks. There's no best education priorities because each country varies depending on the type of corporations you have. Buffett |
ira0348 (Kebir Blue) | Friday, October 3, 2008 - 06:11 am Plumbers GB, you want LOADSA plumbers, CORGI, flakes, a/c, heating, hot, cold, plungers, and my favourite, urinary tract surgeons. |
Great Britannia (Fearless Blue) | Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 03:50 pm I guess that too, Thanks Warren |
Dave33 | Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 10:54 pm Lawyers and Politicians workers are bad. Can't educate them and extremely greedy. |
Dave33 | Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 11:03 pm GB, keep your education priority total set at 120. Never reduce it below 120. I keep my education priority high on High tech Engineers and HT Seniors workers. I have a lot of high-tech corps. Keep some training focused on teachers and health care. If not, the a shortage of teachers and health care workers will cause schools and hopsitals to close. I agreed with Buffett that it depends on your country and corps. |
ira0348 (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, October 5, 2008 - 12:03 am You can over-cook your education I think, when starting my corps were all beginning to upgrade so I needed lower educated workers, as your effectivity increases the higher educated workers come more important so as Dave 33 says you need to have enough of them, but beware training too many LLW, MLW and HLW because a shortfall will harm your economy. Other players have suggested a priority total of 116-120, depending on your country status. If your problem is the low emp index, and this means high un-employment, create some jobs. |
Great Britannia (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, October 5, 2008 - 01:29 am What if the Priorities = to 130? |
Dave33 (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, October 5, 2008 - 01:50 am The SC game shouldn't let you go up to 130. I think the default of a new country is 60. And the hightest setting is 120. |
Pathetic Sheep (White Giant) | Tuesday, October 7, 2008 - 10:28 am You can set the priorities as high as you like. If your total is 240 the game divides by 2. At 360 total it divides by 3. If the total is 300 and teachers is set at 25 you will train the same number of teachers as if you had 120 total and teachers set at 10. Nurses can be good for worker exchanges because you can trade them for high level workers and then change them into more high level workers (or other levels if necessary). Executives and High tech executives give you a maximum return on population per trade but are very slow to educate. If you think you have too much education train more execs and exchange them with new people and rapidly expanding empires. Teachers, nurses, and engineers train faster. Many well developed countries will take your low level workers. You can also give them a 20% bonus and point that out in a message. If you need Low level workers sack a computer controlled country and trade a lot. Make each trade 20% in your favor. Get the low level workers and get your managers back too. |
Stuart Taylor (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, October 9, 2008 - 01:19 am Speaking of which - ETRURIA has about 2m surplas low level workers if someone wants to suggest a trade..... |
anouk | Wednesday, October 15, 2008 - 01:01 am Hello, This might be a very noobish question, but if there is no work in a given field, will the surplus workers then go train in another job field where they can find employment? thanks, Greetings, Anouk, |
