Damien Murdoc (Fearless Blue) | Saturday, September 27, 2008 - 10:19 am I read the documentation about this, but i´m not sure if i should do that public offering. So is it generally better to have loads of private and public corps, rather than state and national corps? How/who are the salaries, upgrades and sale strategies managed for public corps? Is it generally better to have have just state/national corp for those products which you need for yourself like weapons corps? And have the most of the economys backbone based on the private and public corps? Anyway, should i hit the perform a public offering button? |

Yes.

Public corps can be country or CEO controlled, depending on who has the largest amount of shares. The largest shareholder has control over the corp.

I would just buy everything off of the market. Unless, you want to contract something that is typically in shortages. To contract to yourself, you need control of the corp.

It depends on the country. I have seen highly successful countries with all different types of corp make-ups.

That's your choice. But unless you have an in-depth understanding of the way IPO's work and you have some time to invest, they won't be worth your while. Good luck! |
Angus88 (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, September 30, 2008 - 02:17 am So is it generally better to have loads of private and public corps, rather than state and national corps? Yes and no country run corps, don't pay the production tax to the country which is a MAJOR source of revenue for the majority of successful players. But because of this these corps can afford to spend this money not taxed on production to extreme salaries, which can set of a cycle of revenue to the country. Higher salaries are collected as income tax, also increasing corp production, increasing corporation revenue, allowing you to increase salaries a bit more (repeat until the corp breaks even). And have the most of the economys backbone based on the private and public corps? I've based my economy on public corps, I've found it to be successful, but it has drawbacks like all other corporate structure. Anyway, should i hit the perform a public offering button? You need to have a plan of whats is going to happen to the corp first. Are you turning the corp truly public (and what type of truly public corp), are you selling the corporation to Gamemaster enterprises. either of these two reasons will be beneficial to your country, but won't be able to bail out the corp so make sure you know what your doing. Any other outcome will not be beneficial in your case. |

Sir Michael (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, September 30, 2008 - 05:56 am You don't The Gamemaster takes over corps when ceo's dereg so there isn't a market drop. |
Angus88 (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - 08:37 am It acts as a CEO corp that will not close down though. After making an IPO simply set the share portfolio target for that country to 0%. |
Angus88 (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - 08:37 am Ment to say corporation. |
Andreja Gligorijevic (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, October 11, 2008 - 04:21 am That only works, if ONLY investment funds buy your corp's shares. If only 1 share goes to a CEO - they get control of your, now fully public, corporation. |
