Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 07:02 am Why am I giving out loans and receiving loans when I never put them in myself? I just got SC$90B of loan hand outs right after I paid SC$60B loans off? Why do I log in with loans I never requested? I for some reason have a country that has a SC$360B loan out that I am now having to pay for...

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 04:08 pm Because your country sucks. Or in more explicit terms, you don't have the cash, but you keep on spending. You must always have liquidity, you must always have cash to spend. The game will turn that -40B into +500B, requesting loans for you. You do not have a say on this mechanism. You can only stop it by improving your finances.

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 05:25 pm Ok, I figured that part out, I bought weapons... But why am I receiving offered loans paid out when I did not put them out? I did not have any set up to be bought, as soon as I paid off loans of 60B then I received loan hand out of 90B?

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 05:55 pm What?... I don't get it. You better rephrase what you are saying or someone else will have to take care of this.

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 08:11 pm I have loans given out that I did not give out... They are paying me, but why are they out when I did not offer them?

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 08:25 pm No idea and I doubt that. You sure you didn't offer them? You may have offered them a long time ago and not only now they were given.

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 08:31 pm No, I check all the time to see if I have any that have not gone through, plus they all came in @ 20B and I don't offer any less the 50B... They also came in right after I paid off my unexpected loans... I noticed this, they all are corporations, in addition none of which are mine...

Thursday, September 18, 2008 - 09:07 pm NVM... It was a 90B loan That popped up not the 20B loans, I see that their date of completion is the same as my two 100B loan offers. I most have for some reason put them in. I don't recall the 90B loan offer, but I might have put it in and meant to put it in at 100B...

Friday, September 19, 2008 - 12:18 pm Keep your narrow minded comments to yourself. Your seniors know better. And no. I wasn't newb when I started and much less of a n00b. So, now, I'm making up for lost time.

Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 01:46 am John, I really hurts me to say this to people like you, But after that last sentence you just made. You have no life.

Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 01:49 am Hey John, Why don't you have like a Fearless Blue under your name or anything?

Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 03:14 am Yup. I'm a nolife. I'm an anti-social nolife that likes frequenting nightclubs. Those places are packed of people like me. Conversations have the nasty habit of dieing when I walk into a room too... Sad, I know. It doesn't hurt me the smallest to tell you aren't welcome here. Those who cast judgement on an environment they do not understand are bound to to be cast away or changed. The tone of moral superiority from your speechs appear to be a daily ritual practiced without end. You better see a doctor about that.
Are you worried my status on this forum is different from yours?

Thursday, October 2, 2008 - 07:09 am I was worried and I was hoping that you would explain it. But as you haven't, I will have to scour the help files to figure out what makes you special. Some people don't want to read the help files before they play a game. They are the people that think that they can put together the bicycle they bought for their child for Christmas on Christmas Eve. Those people usually fail and their children learn that failure is normal. They have lowered their children's expectations who later do not see the benefit of reading those help files later in life. This failure behavior trait is generational and inherited. Those same dumb people are offended when you call them dumb and/or when you point out that they are failing and are doomed to failure. It does not really hurt them to say that you have no life; because they are really defending their failure behavior by saying your research is an incorrect allocation of your time. What are they doing with their time that you are not? They are failing; and a whole lot more of it than you are. What are you doing? Researching, but not as much as they are failing. I hope that clears everything up.

A mystery for the ages. The reply to your post is long, complex and controversial. Answers have been given through time though. To your post, You're speech reminds of the discussions between psychologists when they argue over which factor influences human behaviour the most: genetics or environment. You sinned where they sinned: gave your agents a passive nature. People are mostly pro-active, constituting themselves a third factor. Always assume I know what I'm doing.

Friday, October 3, 2008 - 06:28 am John, do you read your posts before you press that 'post message' box? Hell, what does that last mean? and my other half is a social worker (understands all that nurture/nature claptrap) and you lost her.

Friday, October 3, 2008 - 02:49 pm Oh geez. I know I'm vague but not that much. Most scenarios we design or work with, treat humans as mere puppets - passive agents. However, in practice people are gifted with something we may call, even if erroneously, free will - third factor. When psychologists argue over the predominance of environment or genetics, or which actions are more susceptible to one factor or another, they strip the agent of any influence on his own behaviour. Such views are entirely deterministic and do not, for what I feel, reflect the truth. The way I see it, the environment defines and stimulates our genetic potential and we later on change that same environment as part of our aspiration to freedom, satisfaction of needs, and all that mambo jambo.

Friday, October 3, 2008 - 08:02 pm Got you, and I think I would agree. BTW, trying your Firefox recommendation, loads (as in much) quicker than IE on 100Mbps cable, still playing with fonts, setting etc. Graphs used to hang on IE, not so far on FF, but got experimenting to do...and I can't seem to lose this persistant Google influence cropping up here and there.

Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 02:02 am Does your country pay loans off automatically (incrementally) or does it have to be done manually? Also does the 'Payback Penalty' differ depending on the 'Due On' date, as well as presumably the amount borrowed and interest rate. Thanks

Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 08:58 pm Good to know Firefox is working well for you, Ira. Google and Firefox have a contract that sets the default homepage and bar search engine to Google. Although the contract was renewed up to 2011(?), I think Google's influence will lower with time, now that they have Chrome. Manifesto, Yes, your nation will pay off loans automatically. Penalty depends on the loan expiration and the rest, but it's so small, it's easily ignorable.

Monday, October 13, 2008 - 12:22 pm I don't like agents... I like My book RHD better... :P I feel strongly that, even though this is so far off topic, you are what you make of yourself + your environment + what is influenced from genetics... So to say its one or the other would make your test results way off. So having said that, to mess with genetics and not the others, you might as well stop before you start, because you will be getting no where. Oh, and FireFox is the shit. And wish Windows would have it by default instead of IE. Not to mention the fact that I am thinking about going to Mac...
