It changed for... convenience purposes? The reason was never explained. It would be amusing if they received a Cease and Desist order. Something that isn't exactly unheard of in Govt Simulator Games history...

On the 1st of April, April's Fool, the game NationStates received a Cease and Desist order to rename their "United Nations" from the REAL United Nations.
