Hello all. Due to sale of stock my country has a surplus of cash. I would like to convert some of that cash into Gold Coins, if thats even possible. Any suggestions?

You can do this by buying products on the world market and selling them in "Direct trade". There is a subset of products which can be traded this way.

Other products can be sold for GC on space stations. Each station has it's own product category which can be traded.

I can vouch for the direct trading. I have earned enough coin to subsidize my empire expansion.

I'm really looking forward to breaking into the space trade. I have a feeling the markets there are a bit more lucrative.
