In the interest in peace, security forces of the Aries empire have seized several territories that lacked consistent governance which facilitated them being in a state of anarchy. Leadership of the Aries empire will continue to make decisions in the interest of peace on LU. Governments interested in cooperating in future endeavors may send a diplomatic message to Candinnalm.

Here is a summary of the Operation:
Pre-war Operations
Nov 13th - Dec 4, 3517
War declaration goes active. SR special forces infiltrate the Aries Empire border. Several areas are occupied without firing a shot. Aries security forces maneuver defense battalions to recover territory and restrict movement of the attacking units. All territory returns to Aries control.
Dec 5, 3517
SR forces attack. Strikes are launched at Aries country defenses using ground-based missile batteries, fighter planes, attack drones, stealth bombers, and precision bombers. Aries defenses hold firm and inflict heavy damage on the attacking forces.
SR forces assume a defensive strategy that would limit strikes to stealth bomber missions that would continue throughout much of the war.
Aries special forces recieve orders to drop over numerous locations in SR territory Transport aircraft take off from Aries bases.

Aries Offensive Begins. Aries security forces deploy mid range missile batteries and offensive anti-aircraft batteries to assault SR defenses from range. SR helicopters, stealth Bombers, and local garrisons respond and return fire.
Dec 8, 3517
SR helicopters take heavy losses. Ratio of attacking batteries to defending helicopters destroyed goes from 1:1 to 1:3.
Dec 10, 3517
SR Deploys additional helicopters and mobile missile defense units. While initially able to regain close to a 1:1 ratio, the continued toll on SR defenses again sees the ratio return to 1:3. SR mobile missile defense units are targeted and destroyed.
Dec 11, 3517
SR mobile missile defense units continue to attempt to assist the fight but are knocked out shortly after their presence is detected. SR helicopters continue to struggle against the attack and sees ratio often worsen to 1:4.
Dec 13, 3517
Detecting Aries special forces, the SR military deploys attack drones to eliminate them. Strong Aries air support responds and destroys the drones.
Additional SR helicopters are brought to the fight to battle attacking Aries batteries. Ratio improves to 1:1
Dec 14, 3517
Continues heavy fire from Aries batteries again brings the advantage to the attacker. Ratio returns to 1 battery:3 helicopters lost.
Dec 15, 3517
SR helicopter units are unable to respond in force. SR helicopter reserves struggle to replace losses in front-line units Understrength units are sent to battle with many units being wiped out. By end of day, all helicopter units are grounded.
Dec 16, 3517
SR fortifications come under attack. SR garrison forces respond but are outgunned. Many fortifications are destroyed.
Dec 17, 3517
Some SR helicopter units recieve new equipment and are returned to action but are quickly dispatched by Aries batteries. SR helicopter units are no longer an effective fighting force and will play a minor role in future operations.
Dec 21, 3517
All SR fortified positions are destroyed.
Dec 22, 3517
The SR capital comes under attack and is completely destroyed. Other SR cities report similar destruction. SR corporations report they too are under assault.
Dec 25, 3517
Attacking Aries forces occupy government buildings and media in Punisher territory. Local SR units lay down their arms.
Jan 6, 3518
Aries forces secure administrative sites in Botulism territory. All remaining SR military forces surrender where they stand. |

Was an interesting war. If I recall correctly, I didn't think SR would be online, but, obviously, was prepared if he was. The reason I attacked was he did have a lot of military resources, and appeared mostly inactive. I was concerned about other foes seizing his assets and becoming more powerful. |
