David Walker (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 25, 2011 - 04:57 am JHE defied the Security Council and his own statement and launched nuclear attacks on Grimaud, on top of accusing another president of cheating. The Security Council can only do so much, the world community needs to do the rest. BOYCOTT! |
David Walker (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 25, 2011 - 04:59 am JHE = SuckerPunch with these 2 countries. He has not left. |
Crafty (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, September 25, 2011 - 02:49 pm JHE's game strategy is buy nice valuable countries/empires (like BCs, the last one that caused the problems) and dismantle them selling off everything and turning GC profit. Down the drain with nice cultivated cared for countries, and the guy has no respect. Maybe I'm old school, but thats a dispicable way to carry on. Used to be good countries went from one player to another who nurtured them, there are many still like that. my request - DO NOT SELL COUNTRIES OR ENTS TO THIS PLAYER. Thanks, Crafty. |
Orbiter (White Giant) | Sunday, September 25, 2011 - 05:34 pm well, the buy and strip strat has been around a long time, although thier is s difference here in general, a country only sells based on the stripping value. not what kind of investment goes into it. if you take a C3, add pop, weapons, ammo, generic assets. take care in the type of corps you build. create garrisons, and upgrade them... then you sell the country, you wont really get a fraction of its worth. you'll get less than the stripping value. and john henry isn't the only culprit. the difference with john henry, is that it was/is his main strat in sc. i mean, many players buy and strip countries. with john henry, is seemed to be his main thing. but the bad part, is he'd not only brag about the money he made. but would have, at best, no respect for the builder of the country. and would brag about burning other players countries to the ground... which is also his mistake, in all this. he might or might not have gotten away with trying to cheat slade. if Tom hadn't stepped in, he'd have damaged slade reputation, at the very least. But when john henry's "baby," showed up, owned by another player... it certainly is a clue waving a bright red flag. so, honestly, continuing to keep boycotts on this country, over and over, until it disappears, will be more than a minor punishment. and fitting |
David Walker (Little Upsilon) | Monday, September 26, 2011 - 07:50 am Let's keep the boycotts coming, we haven't even reached level 1 yet. |
Crafty (Little Upsilon) | Monday, September 26, 2011 - 06:17 pm Its akin to melting down nicely crafted jewelry for the price of the base gold. I dont know many use that strat orbiter. Stripping inactive countries I'm for because it keeps assets amongst the players. Its totally different to wreck a nice county (like Ironhorse was) just to gain a few hundred GC. Why not run it? I'm sure it would have made that $$$ in a short period. Has anyone ever seen a successful boycott? I've known Wendy get lots of them and it has never effected her much. I would add that all my countries except my mains and 3 on LU were previous player countries. DarkeKatts, BCs, Gandolfs, Lagunas, Wilds, Just Spocks. And there isnt a bad one among them. |
Orbiter (Little Upsilon) | Monday, September 26, 2011 - 07:17 pm your preaching to the choir, crafty you'd think that after all the care and effort to create something such as a heavy war slave... it'd sell based on what a player could do with it, rather than what a player could strip out of it. but my experience in selling countries... i never get the value out of them, that i put into them. and over the years, every one i've seen talk about buying countries... wont buy a high priced country to use. i mean their are rare occasions. and as i'm thinking about it. its been a while, so i may not remember correctly. but i don't think you can boycott a new player, or rather a new account. i've never been boycotted, and usually take steps to protect myself from it. but as far as i can gather. a boycott against such a large country should be devastating. |
