ZentrinoRisen (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 05:00 am I see that now. 27,940 is mine. |
ZentrinoRisen (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 05:02 am Cheetah: Yours is accurate. I got 91,325 for you but that is close enough and it will vary from month to month somewhat. |
Laguna | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 10:47 am Are you people sure you are doing this right? 216 153,63M is the same as multiplying that by 1 000 000 and dropping the M: 216 153 630 000. Divide this by 53 717 376 and we get 4 023,9. So, either you people are making trillions a game month, or yer doin it wraung! To all other smarty-pants around here, yes, a comma separates the units from the decimals and a space the thousands in my grammatical norm. |
CorporatePartner (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 11:30 am Laguna:
Quote:...full year profit or loss...
...so, yours is probably somewhere near $49,000, or 49 000,00 ;) Also, for those with very new countries, and still getting "Beginner Income Boosts", obviously, this "per capita profit" is really not accurate, in the sense that the profits are coming in large part from an "outside" source. Countries who are receiving that "income" should delete it from the profit total to get a more comparative and "sustainable" measure, and that's probably why one country had something close to double that of Laguna's country, haha, which probably caused "LG" to go into "shock and terror" and mis-read the formula temporarily. And, for the record, Laguna's value would be a good "benchmark" to use to compare these values...if you are approaching his levels, or exceeding them you are likely doing excellent, and if you are far below, say 50% or less, then that probably shows that your country has a lot more potential profits that it could be making...though the potential increase would increase with increasing population, as it's generally understood that larger countries can make more profits than smaller ones.
|
Laguna | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 11:39 am Dammit! And as if it wasn't enough, I can't do the -eiπ bit! |
CorporatePartner (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 12:16 pm You know, Laguna...you could add some "spice" to this topic, and introduce a "factor" that would compensate for comparing different sized countries (given that, for example, 9M sized countries can't produce the same profit per person as a 60M sized country) ;) |
Laguna | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 01:41 pm I suppose using employed workers would be a better indicator than total population. As a nation matures, (1) the active portion tends to diminish. Not only that, but (2) a greater fraction tends to be used in non-profitable sectors like Health, Education and the Army. Taking only workers into account resolves issue (1); by subtracting workers employed in the non-profitable sectors, it would solve (2). For simplicity, I recommend using just employed workers. |
CorporatePartner (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 02:10 pm Which of these values would that be then?
Population | 102,917,273 | Total Population | Employment Index | 87.96 | Employment Index | Percentage Unemployed | 12.04 | Unemployment Index | Number of Employed | 46,086,671 | Number of working people | Number of Unemployed | 5,710,274 | Number of Jobless People | Are you saying the total possible workers (Number of Employed + Number of Unemployed), or just current workers (Number of Employed)? For this country, those two would be about 50% and 45% of total population, respectively. That appears low, as you were saying. |
Laguna | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 02:47 pm Number of Employed, since Green Paws seems to be more interested in efficiency. |
FattyMcButterPants (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 03:28 pm Okay then Restart the list.... my number is a (negative) -xxxxxx because I'm not making a profit, but It might be actually pretty reasonable because my percentage employed is a whopping.... Number of Employed 623,596 Number of working people Population 38,922,951 Total Population Employment Index 5.60 Employment Index |
Green Paws (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, September 4, 2011 - 05:04 pm I think Laguna's measurement would be interesting as the Country Profit Per Capital varies wildly and it would only matter if we could the data on all of the largest countries. It's a shame the number employed in corporations is not included in the downloads. |
