ZentrinoRisen (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - 04:00 am I have a few questions looking at the Labor/Unemployment page. First, it says I have 3.5M people working and 3.3M people unemployed. Why is my Unemployment Rate 53% then? Seems like it is backwards to me. But here is the real question: Every worker category has huge numbers of unemployed workers, but also has huge numbers of workers needed for full employment. The only thing I can tell is I am far short on HTE's. Is this stopping all of my other workers from going to work as well? If it is all HTE's causing this, what is the best way to close the gap as quickly as possible? Almost every corp in the country is short on workers. I am building education but Universities take HTE's too. I currently have about 12k unemployed and need 452k for full employment in HTE's. (It was 700k so it has gotten better.) It appears, all other categories have enough (or nearly enough) workers to cover their shortages if they would simply go to work. Thanks for the help!@ Zen. |
CorporatePartner | Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - 04:51 am Yes, you need --all-- workers at --all-- levels for the hiring to increase. The 'best way' is what the documentation says, which is --increase Education Index--. At least 130, then 160 is good, and 200-220 is excellent. |
ZentrinoRisen (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - 04:56 am So it is okay to keep building Universities, even though they take the very workers I am short on? I am 4 short from having the exact number it says I need. I know I need to eventually double it. But, I should just keep going and it will work itself out then? Thanks for the help! |
Crafty (Little Upsilon) | Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - 12:57 pm Zen, I could probably help you some by trading some of your low level workers for some engineers, only problem is you wouldnt get the same number of people back, like probably 1 engineer for 3 llw. Message Central scrutinizer or post here if you want that. |
