SweetPea | Wednesday, December 5, 2012 - 02:00 pm I noticed there are no offers for Gold coins on the trading Block. Is this normally that way? Or did I just take a look in between offers? |
SweetPea | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 05:21 pm I can see what is going on with the direct market. The same three or four players are buying coins for about 51B and then turn it over selling them for 55B On 1,000 coins isn't that like some 400B total profit? It seems such a small margin for the length of time involved, right? I guess it is worth the wait for you guys but I would pull my hair out watching that water boil like that. Am I right on the 400B profit on 1000 coins bought and then sold for the overage? Or is it 4T? |
Teddy Bear | Thursday, December 6, 2012 - 09:59 pm 1000*55B=55,000B or 55T which would be bought for 51T so yeah, it works out at 4T. Would be very profitable at high volumes, but like all these things depends on market demand. |
SweetPea | Friday, December 7, 2012 - 12:20 am I see said the blind woman. 4T makes it a bit more attractive. I applaud those turning a coin like that. 4T is a much more valuable than it was a few years ago. It isn't so easy to make these days. I won't try to step on anybody's toes. I have enough money, I want to see others make it. 4T is still a little too thin for my margins. I like a 1:1 ratio or better. Like doubling or tripling my investment wherever/whenever possible. That ratio is more like 10:1. Too much capital tied up for the meager returns. But in real life that 10% is the baseline number for projecting investment gains in the market. For example, if you invested in the market and wanted to pull out in 5 years. Generally speaking 10% is a safe assumption and expected minimum performance gain year over year on your capital. You would in most cases employ some riskier investment vehicles to attain a better than 10% gain. But this is a game and 10% isn't all that pop and go for me. Especially when I know I can expect better returns elsewhere if I am patient. It saves the clicks lol. |
