My enterprise, which used to only be for having ceo corps in my own country, is now expanding into other stable GR countries. Who's got workers and wants capital investment?

I should be able to squeeze one in each of The Cooperative Republic of Kahveh and The Secular Republic of Dirac.

They will both show shortages in workers, but I can convert enough to cover that.

Feel free to bid on any state-owned corporations in any of my countries.

Hmm. I'm getting a message saying I can't build in others' countries until I have 6 corporations and have been playing 42 days. I have 12 corps, but I see in my Gold Coin transactions that I only registered on July 16. (It feels longer than that.)

I guess I'll have to wait a couple of weeks to start building up my enterprise. I just hope it's not 42 days from when I formed Tredroy Trading. That wasn't until July 30.

As for bidding on existing corps in other players' countries, I've done it a few times, but the $50B surcharge means I can't keep doing it forever. OTOH, what's the setup cost in a new corp? Is it even more?

Maybe I should buy more in C3s, but when I look, it seems there's one corp with high salaries that keeps all the available professionals.

I have been playing more than 42 days and opened an enterprise and had bought atleast ten C3 corps and still was not allowed to build in players' countries. I kept getting that message too about needing to first have 6 corps. I waited a few days and it registered that I did have atleast 6 corps. Also, I find that the C3's that are bright green have some good corps you can buy. They are still fresh from a president leaving. As you may know, you have to do some searching before you find the good ones though. Also, don't forget to look at the population and make sure there are not more than 2 corps per million population before you bid.

The other benefit of buying a corp rather than setting up a new one, is that you can often get one that has been upgraded (quality and efficiency) meaning that you're more likely to be able to turn a profit early on.

Even a corp worth SC$300B or more might be a good deal when compared with the ~SC$100B set up cost plus cost of upgrades.

Also check the corps for sale by the "Gamemaster Corporations" Enterprise - some more good bargains can be found there, but watch out for unstaffed and highly indebted ones.

Upgraded (at least Quality Upgraded) corps might well be a good deal for profit. But I'm looking ahead toward the number of corps I'll need for Level 4. Given the limited starting capital, the cheaper the cost of entry, the better.
