Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 03:48 am On this date and time both AF(def, myself, saber, sam houston) and UC(priest, cross and JF) have agreed, in spirit, to a cease fire. All other combatants, on both sides, will be brought up to speed in the next 1-2 days. As each member learns of this cease fire, they will agree to initiate no further declarations. There are currently numerous small active wars ongoing. Given the fog of war, neither party should consider it an overt act of disregard for this cease fire if shot are fired. Time is simply needed for this to filter down through the ranks. More to come. As a show of good faith I will be un-protecting fire bastion and preparing it for return to John Fire. This is my own personal act and is not meant to indicate that others should follow suit. Its just the way I play. I will be dereging over the next week down to a leader nation only. Barney Rubble.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:04 am I have read and accepted the ceasefire brought forth to the UC. The rest of the members will be informed but on my behalf there will be no attacks unless the agreement is called off or broken. As far as i know most of the AF players have accepted this and are willing to comply. I will follow up more once this goes through this chain of the United Confederation and get better insight. Chris Crossdale.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:12 am I agree even thou it may not aply for my fed but the same thing mister cross sayed i will attack none unless a agreement with my fed and the uc is given Revan X

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:56 am I also am in agreement with this ceasefire. I will not fire a shot unless/until a shot is fired upon the fed mates or myself, after all parties have been well informed. I am not at liberty to condem fed mates who do not follow suit, however I hereby publicly state that I neither condone such behavior. As chairman of the Antilia Major Branch of the United Confederation, I will duly inform all members in my branch of my sentiment regarding the above. Tattooed Priest

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 08:56 am Well well well, a treaty finally! Crossdale, Awesome, Nute, Austia, David, and myself along with other fedmates had some conditions drawn up last week when David Walker first asked for peace. Thanks to the hard work of Crossdale and David. that was very time consuming and the fed thanks you. I agree to a ceasfire with the AF if certain agreements are met. These will be very fair and wont belittle you guys at all. The offworlders are a differant subject tho. They came for war only. They talked lots of smack and damaged a few UC brothers empires. This will not just go away, but will be dealt with. I'll continue as the details emerge. Thanks for your time folks, General Dirt

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 09:34 am Be it known that I also will adhere to the direction the UC has chosen regarding the war between UC and certain members of the AF. Commandant Wood

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 10:14 am Ladies and Gentlemen Boys and Girls Aliens and Humans Based on the foregoing statement from Barney Rubble, and the fact that I see he has indeed deregistered 2 countries on Lynx Minor in the Fornax Musica Region on Golden Rainbow I will stand in agreement with this ceasefire. I see that many of the United Confederation members have now posted as the message was sent out through the proper channels. However, I do not know that Barney Rubble has full authorization to speak for all of the members of the Allied Forces Federation, thus I would like to see the members of the Allied Forces post here, especially the members of the Allied Forces HQ. Namely Chairman DEFCON, voting member Her Majesty Daconia, voting member His Majesty Unitedfolls.RyanB, and voting member John L., before I will consider talking about any terms of peace. Finlay I do reserve the right to continue this war should the members of Allied Forces decide to harass, bother, disrespect, dominate, bully, or provoke, any of the United Confederation members or myself. Dated this 31st day of January Golden Rainbow year 2557 Nute Gunray The Viceroy

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 10:38 am What they said. Also, I would like for the OW and AF to dereg their c3's that boarder Gerard and Robert. (robert owns homeland). Since there is no UC branch on Draca Yet.... I consider it my jurisdiction. Austia

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 01:23 pm I agree to the cease fire as represented in the first post and will not issue any further declarations.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 01:46 pm I have 1 more request and I'm sorry it slipped my mind as it is of paramount importance. In the first attempt of a peace agreement Zypher AKA A.D.Z. was to leave GR all together. He agreed to this and left ( he has other countries on other planets.) When the battle started he came back under a new name ADZ. For this peace treaty to be successful he must leave GR as stated before. He was the spy that sparked this war and it would be best, to insure lasting peace, if he left for good this time. If he chooses not to there isn't alot we can do militarily because he only has 1 settlement. We can however boycott the holy hell outta him. Thanks for your time, General Dirt

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:37 pm zip was not a condition...i accept the cease fire in its original form...zip will not leave gr

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:38 pm oh and btw david walker had nothing to do with this cease fire...

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:39 pm and no other allied forces members will be commenting but myself...i believe privacy was also a term of this cease fire...judging by these posts some disagree

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:50 pm @Defcon, I could really care less if you only you are commenting, but if none of your affiliates comment or express their view than how can we be sure they do even agree in the first place? David Walker may not of had anything to do with this agreement but he has been a major factor in trying to maintain the peace and we at UC will give him his credit where he deserves it. There is still 48hours left for this to get going so i suggest AF as a whole start speaking up and letting us know the situation in thier view, even if they dont agree atleast we know where everyone stands. Crossdale.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 04:59 pm I am speaking for my fed, I have reached everyone and gotten agreement from them all. No need to carry this on further.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 05:05 pm that's very democratic of you Dcon....NOT! anyway, I believe that all negotiations should be held in open chat so ALL can give their 2 cents and neutrals can listen in. Also, Dcon- quote from Wet coat the war dude "Now the question becomes what was Zip attempting to do. Obviously to any casual bystander it was a self concerted effort to infiltrate UC" Zyp goes.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 05:15 pm the conditions were set and agreed upon by all. Zip was not one of them....so are we breaking this already or is it me?

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 05:37 pm Zyp was not part of this agreement yes, but it was a ceasefire and we agreed to talk to the other members to get thier input. Austia feels a certain way about Zyp and so does UC so therefore that is input correct? I dont know, but if i were you Defcon i would really consider Austia's request very hastly. Ceasefires are only temporary its not an actual truce, so until we get things figured out please let me know if you plan on changing your mind.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 05:38 pm the conditions were set and agreed upon by all. Zip was not one of them....so are we breaking this already or is it me?

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 06:38 pm Crossdale: "i suggest AF as a whole start speaking up and letting us know the situation in thier view, even if they dont agree atleast we know where everyone stands." Could this be a difference in the way UC and AF are governed? The UC is a Confederation, each member have a considerable say in the policy of the whole (somewhat like the European Union, a de facto confederation - mucho disagreement regarding the war in Iraq: UK, Spain, Italy joined the coalition, much of the rest of Europe refused). Is the AF more of a federation with foreign policy placed in the hands of a representative for foreign affairs? In that case Dcon should be understood to be speaking for every member of his fed. Austia: "all negotiations should be held in open chat [...] and neutrals can listen in". As a neutral with previous connections to the UC (I withdrew as this war began) I would certainly wish to be kept informed of how it turns out. Not sure whether I or any other neutral could commit to a Chat Peace Summit if that is what you are suggesting, Austia, but I would certainly like to see some agreed outcome of any discussions that do go on posted in the forum. (Agreed outcome: none of this "I never said that..." stuff, a statement agreed upon by both sides). Re: Zip/Zyp/ADZ. I make no comment on whether he is/was guilty of spying. However, regarding his leaving GR, I think that is an issue for a Peace Treaty, rather than a condition for cease fire. That's my two cents (or tuppence as I am UK-based). Zet

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 06:46 pm I agree to this cease fire.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 06:55 pm Another ha'penny to add to my tuppence (we used to have strange currency here!) Should have mentioned that IMHO any AF member who does not agree to the cease fire should be dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, rather than escalation of hostilities with UC. I assume there is provision for this in the AF constitution. Also, to clarify my point re:Zyp, this is an issue to be haggled over with a final agreement to form a peace treaty formally ending hostilities. A cease fire may, and should, be declared while peace is discussed. Zet

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 07:47 pm If Zip agrees to leave GR...then I agree with the terms as stated. I will support my Fedmates decision . During a time of war, only one voice should be heard from a Fed...you notice the only post I made during this conflict was when personally accused of starting this. This is a game..and a lot of people enjoy teasing each other...especially during a conflict..but to suggest that all parties should be in on negotiations is ridiculous. They just need to acknowledge that they accept the agreed upon terms. How a Fed handles its internal politics is their own business. Daconia

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 09:44 pm Ok, i will respect the cease-fire. Leen

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 12:00 am
You had your chance multi. All you did was hide in WP like a bitch. I hold you personally responsible for this clusterfu*k. I will respect the ceasefire. However I will remain on GR as long as I please. I will clarify this for all concerned. I do not belong to Allied Forces. Thus they are not responsible for my actions, and as such I reserve the right to depop Dirt/Austia/SeaBiscuit at will. Now that little matter is settled let peace reign on GR.

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 04:27 am @Goddess of whores, one more disrespectful comment and this ceasefire is off and we come for you personally. You dont not have the right to talk to any UC member that way and i'll be damned if you call Dirt the "B" word, himself alone could clean your clock out, we came to this ceasefire on terms but comments like that may make me come see you live and direct, keep all you your negativity to yourself or we can get things done all over again. Crossdale.

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 06:07 am I agreed to the ceasefire. Respect is earned. I have seen no reason to respect UC so far. Prove me wrong and actions speak much louder than empty words. I have kept our agreement on LU. You keep yours on GR and we will get along splendidly.

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 07:04 am I agree to the ceasefire. I want to see the peace treaty in total before I agree to that. John L.

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 08:01 am Greetings to all parties, I am glad to see Chairman DEFCON, voting member John L, and voting member Her Majesty Daconia of the Allied Forces HQ have posted in favor of Barney Rubble's proposed cease fire. Now I see there is a chance to work out a truce and a possible peace agreement. In light of that I am going to state that I want all the parties involved to refrian from name calling and disparaging remarks so that there can be a civilized dialogue. As far as having an open chat session goes this may or may not be possible as there are many different time zones involved. Also many players do have real life commitments that must be given high priority. Thus it may be best for the present time that all dialogue be conducted in this thread of the sim country dicussion board. This will allow for all parties and all concerned observers to be actively involved. In addition this will provide all the concerned parties with a written copy of all that is stated by everyone involved so that we all can see it in black and white and avoid the entanglement of "he said she said." Again I must ephasize that I believe that the first ground rule for this open dialogue should be that all parties will address all other parties with respect and refrain from name calling and disparaging remarks. So everyone act civilized. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 11:27 am No, we will not carry out a major peace agreement in a public forum. We will have to make other plans. This is a behind closed doors matter now, and that was agreed to.

Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 05:03 pm Mr Nute Gunray, I second your proposal to negotiating a truce and possible peace agreement in open forum. Attempting to reach a peace agreement in secret places would be difficult for all members to have their inputs and would only lead to future disagreemnt and conficts. John L

Monday, June 2, 2008 - 12:13 am Having discussed this with my fedmates, the Democratic Cooperative Alliance would be happy to host talks within the confines of our own forum to act as mediator during negotiations between UC and AF. We offer neutral ground for this discussion but will allow only members of your respective federations to take part. No third parties, other than ourselves, would have access to the discussion. However, we suggest that a daily(ish) digest summarising the main discussion points be posted to the Simcountry forums, with three-way agreement on its content (UC, AF and DCA). This, we hope, will satisfy those of you who wish to carry out the negotiations in private as well as those who wish to carry it out in public. If this proves agreeable to the membership of your respective federations, let us know and we shall begin making arrangements to host these talks. Our forums are hosted on Invision at http://s11.invisionfree.com/DCA/ but note that the server is currently (22.00GMT) down. With hope of peace to be restored to Golden Rainbow, On behalf of the Democratic Cooperative Republic, Zet

Monday, June 2, 2008 - 05:07 am After careful reconsideration, I consider this open forum an unsuitabel media for meaningful negotiations. I made my above comment too quickly. My main concern is that I have first hand information and a way to input my own opinion into any treaty that is drawn up before it is agreed upon.

Monday, June 2, 2008 - 07:37 am I agree to the ceasefire and have dereged Sun Sovereignty (formerly Fire Sovereignty) next to Land of Liam as a show of good faith.

Monday, June 2, 2008 - 06:37 pm Aye to this Honorable Ceasefire~! I am very new to the *game* in SimCountry, but I want to let all here know that I support this progressive action, as a member of the Democratic Federation Alliance and inhabitant of Golden Rainbow. Zet is very earnest, seriously proposing a Hall of Honor (suggested) Forum at our neutral location, for the purpose of talks from both sides, to formalise this Noble Ceasefire. Thank you all for your part in peace, in prosperity. Quibs Quarkston, Le Grande Newb

Monday, June 2, 2008 - 06:55 pm I,ll be deregging C3s as i strip them.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 02:09 am I dereging as well. just selling weapons on market.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 02:29 am Gretings to all who have posted since Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 08:01 am, I am glad to see that you are following Ground Rule #1 - That all parties will address all other parties with respect and refrain from name calling and disparaging remarks. This is indeed a good sign and shows that we can behave in a civil manner when we want to. Thank you. Greetings John L, You are truly wise. You have identified another very important reason for these possible peace talks to proceed in the simcountry forums. "agreement in secret places would be difficult for all members to have their inputs and would only lead to future disagreement and conflicts." In the field of education, management, and corporate leadership this concept is referred to as "ownership" or "buy in" -- this is where all parties who have a vested interest called the "stakeholders" have input into the final product or outcome, and thus they have ownership of it and they will respect it all the more. Here is web page that addresses this concept to some degree http://www.envirowise.gov.uk/163441 Additionally, John L you have shown me another very important factor to be considered that supports my insistance for conducting these possible peace talks in the simcountry forums -- the need for a person to have time to form opinions and perhaps to change those opinions. Greetings DEFCON, You have shown me an important reason why secret talks will not work. You say " DEFCON Sunday, June 1, 2008 - 11:27 am -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, we will not carry out a major peace agreement in a public forum. We will have to make other plans. This is a behind closed doors matter now, and that was agreed to." Well I have absolutly no recall of any such agreement for there to be secret talks. So this must have been some kind of a secret agreement set up with I am not sure who. So that what we have here a good example of "he said she said" -- the very thing that I wish to avoid. There is no mention of any plans for a secret meeting in Mr. Barney Rubble's opening statement asking for a cease fire. "The Mourning Star (Golden Rainbow) Saturday, May 31, 2008 - 03:48 am -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On this date and time both AF(def, myself, saber, sam houston) and UC(priest, cross and JF) have agreed, in spirit, to a cease fire. Barney Rubble." Therefore once again I must insist upon this being the second ground rule for any peace talks between the United Confederation and the Allied Forces - all negiotions must be conducted in this open forum of the simcountry. Greetings Mr. Zetetic Elench dam Kahveh, I express my gratitude for your generious offers. However I must decline to accept either of these offers. I do not believe you can act totaly neutral as you were once aligned and allied with the United Confederation so it would be unreasonable to expect the Allied Forces to accept you or your friends as having a neutral postion in this matter. So there is no way that I can ask you to be a mediator nor do i wish to conduct these talks in any forum other than the simcountry forum. This is where all parties can see it take place and offer their input. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 03:44 am NO Perhaps your fedmates who made the deal will inform you of the privacy matter. These discussions will not happen in a public forum. And the rep you will be discussing them with is Daconia. There is only one party for Allied Forces, represented by her. And it will not change. Thank you for your time. P.S. No formal negotiations will take place until the privacy issue is met. The condition was made by me for my members, and we feel it should be honored before any peace talks can proceed. Once again, thank you for your time.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 03:45 am And perhaps you did not see this post from John L. John L (Golden Rainbow) Monday, June 2, 2008 - 05:07 am Click here to edit this post///After careful reconsideration, I consider this open forum an unsuitable media for meaningful negotiations. I made my above comment too quickly. My main concern is that I have first hand information and a way to input my own opinion into any treaty that is drawn up before it is agreed upon.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 06:45 am Nute, My biggest issue with conducting negotiations in a public forum like this...is the time issue. Something that we could figure out and agree on in 5 minutes on MSN can drag on for a week on here. Dizzy has my MSN address and I would be happy to discuss things with you or any other UC member. If you would like..once we have figured things out I would be willing to post our decisions for public debate. If an issue is raised from that debate we can discuss changes we may need to make. I hope that is acceptable to you. This seems like a small point that we should be able to find a common ground on. Daconia

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 06:45 am @Defcon, It was I who made this agreement and it is I who you made this possible for this ceasefire to even exist. Upon this agreement i also made it clear that the current terms were also temporary till I could get ahold of the other many members in the fed. So basically now that most are up to date i think its fair to say we can make terms and offer it to you and AF, So please make it abit clear why you would not want the public to know if its safe on GR or not?

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 07:00 am This proposition sounds fairly reasonable and I will back Nute's decision. Our main concern is that history has a bad habit of repeating itself and we hope that having the negotiations done in a public forum would prevent the slide to war that happened in the pre-war negotiations.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 09:35 am It looks to me like all my Fed allies are tuning over to me. It is clear to me that UC has gone way out of their way to settle this dispute regaurdless of the fact we did not start it and we were spankin daylights out of AF and all their Off world buddies. So whats the scoop brothers and sisters, are we gonna play push me push you and dose ee doe or what?

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 10:46 am On the contrary, Nute, I believe that my status as a former member of the UC makes me, and hence my Federation with the support of my fedmates, an ideal candidate for neutral hosts. I pulled out of the UC precisely because I was unable to determine satisfactorily for myself whether the UC was justified in declaring on AF. The UC accepted my declaration of neutrality, and I believe so did AF going by David Walker's statement: "https://www.simcountry.com/cgi-bin/discus/board-auth.cgi?file=/2/8778.html&lm=1209464157 This former UC member seems to be open enough to distance himself from the war and deplore the reasons, which cannot be those of defence." I wouldn't have gone as far as saying I deplored the reasons for the war, it had more to do with being unable to determine the veracity of the reasons, but I took this to mean that AF had no beef with me. I also have much to gain from peace. My economy and enterprise are still growing as I have only been playing the game since February. My country is host to corporations from both AF and UC players, and in turn I have located a number of corporations in UC and AF states. Should peace break out, I hope to be able to expand again as my expansion is currently on hold until I am sure which countries are safe from the threat of war. Furthermore, Nute, I would rather wait to hear what the AF leadership has to say about my and my federation's credentials as an impartial host for talks. As a further gesture of goodwill, I invite you and a representative from AF (DEFCON? You seem to be acting as a sort of foreign minister, correct me if I'm wrong) to inspect the location of the talks. Perhaps you could both register on our forum and take a look before dismissing our offer. All we intend to provide, and all you should see when you login, is a forum for talks on peace. We hope this will lead to a peace treaty. All members of both AF and UC will be admitted to this forum so ALL members may have their say. Our role as host, will be limited to an introductory message, and perhaps a suggestion regarding a possible direction for the talks. I am sure (though I have not cleared this with my fedmates) that, if either the UC or AF would prefer it, we would stand to one side and post nothing in that forum. Finally, the suggestion of a digest to be posted in the Simcountry forums, was just that, a suggestion. This is not a necessary condition for the talks to be held in our forum. I hoped that by offering a neutral forum, that was open to the full membership of both your federations but closed to the general population of Simcountry, that the peace negotiations could at least start, rather than having this seemingly endless negotiation to start negotiation.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 11:41 am I can see both sides. However, I believe Daconia has a great idea, her idea accommodates Ameche by letting the peace talks to be held behind closed doors, it accommodates Nute's and other United Confederation members desire to have the progress posted in the public forum. I cannot understand why this proposal isn't satisfactory to both sides. Although, I aslo don't understand why Ameche is adamant about having it kept secret. The original agreement was 'no forum celebrations', not 'no forum posting' and that was regarding the ceasefire which isn't necessarily a peace treaty. I'm appalled that we are stuck at such a small topic this early in the peace talks! I believe we currently have more parties on both sides that desire peace than that desire war. I'd like to see this move forward.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 03:35 pm @ David Wood, Your comment:"It is clear to me that UC has gone way out of their way to settle this dispute regaurdless of the fact we did not start it and we were spankin daylights out of AF and all their Off world buddies." Your comment is argumentative and the conclusions you reached are questionable. Furthermore in no way assit in the formative process of reaching a working peace treaty. John L.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 03:48 pm Here is my proposal for reaching a peace treaty. 1. Each Side appoint one negotiator. AF has already appointed the new Chairman of AF GR (Daconia) as it's negotiator. Now if UC will appoint one and only one negotiator, these two negotiatiors can reach one peace treaty. 2. Once the negotiator have reached a peace treaty, they take their joint product and have it ratified by their respective federations. 3. Once each side has had the peace treaty ratified. Then it will be posted here in the forum. 4. Once ratified and posted for the world to see, Each side will be responsible for enforcing it with their individual federation members. AF history has already done this once with a violator of the old Matt/Yankee/AF Peace Treaty. At which time the violator was evicted from AF and subject to doing battle with Matt and Yankee without any AF support. In my opinion, this is not a new concept to what Daconia suggested but an improvement and clarification of her suggestion.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 05:08 pm I don't want to side track this but David Wood don't suggest for a second that I got spanked on GR. I lost 3 and gained 9. All three that I lost had already performed their assigned tasks very well. You're not "going out of your way" to lessen hostilities with comments like that David. We should stick to the agenda and keep opinions to ourselves at this point.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 08:16 pm And I am a troublemaker? O_o

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 08:17 pm I am no politician for sure, so I will keep my frustration to myself. I second the 'John L' Proposal, it is the way that the UN, Congress, Senate and Business do things. The treaty can be posted as a work in progress from time to time to allow the Fed members to make their comments, helpful or not, to their own Fed Chairman, thereby eliminated stupid comments in public. Thank You John L and Mourning Star for your constructive critisism.

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 08:34 pm HUGS! Hugs!? Hugs... anyone?

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 08:37 pm Nute and or UC negotiator, I'm currently studying for finals. This being the case, I'm actually on the computer more than normal. As I said before, Dizzy has my MSN address. If you can't get it from him, in game msg me and I would be happy to send it to you. If for some reason MSN is not acceptable, I'm also on IRC. Just give me a time and how you wish to communicate. I spoke to Awesome and am currently stripping Minerva Scotia prior to deregging it. Daconia

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 08:59 pm I'm your huckleberry. I love hugs! Deffy..I like what you have done to the place, lots of interesting new mouths on here. GR is most entertaining these days. Sad to see you and Johnny fire at odds tho...but things change I guess. By the way, hiya Johnny! Might have to take residence next to the azzhats, if I choose to return, as I'm not part of any agreement on GR, never have been...hehehehe....(might need arms from well stocked AF CEO's tho) You forgot the loops holes guys, what about friends of DEffY, that have more then a year and half experience, But have been absent as of late. I think you need to add a super clause, cause Deffy is a wise old fox with many friends! Peace treaties...what happen to the good ole days of Putting the azzhats in front of a wall.....giving 6 peeps live ammo and one a blank? Peace was pretty lasting then! lol! OH..dont bother I have read the posts, so am updated from a third person point of view. Even from the WAR thread. Good times...... good times!

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 09:04 pm Greetings Daconia, If your only issue with conducting any possible peace talks in the open forum is one of time then we may be close to establishing that the talks can proceed here in an open forum. I have listed my reason for conducting any possible talks in this open forum but i will again list them. 1. This will allow for all parties and all concerned observers to be actively involved. 2. This will provide all the concerned parties with a written copy of all that is stated by everyone involved. 3. We all can see it in black and white and avoid the entanglement of "he said she said." 4. This will give a person a chance to have time to form opinions and perhaps to change those opinions. 5. This will give all stakeholders "buy in and ownership". and finally as was pointed out by Sun Tzu the United Confederation tried closed door talks with members of Allied Forces prior to this war - those talks failed and there were many misleading statements placed into the simcountry forum. Now as far as trying to patch together a lasting solution and workable peace treaty in five (5) minutes in an msn chat session I do not think that it is realistic. I will list some reasons why this quick fix idea seems unrealistic 1. The issues between United Confederation did not just happen over night. 2. The United Confederation is governed as a confederation thus each member holds a vested interest in the outcome and has a right to take part in any and all discussions concerning the federation. 3. I believe that we all need time to consider our own thoughts and opinions as well as the thoughts and opinions of others involved. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Tuesday, June 3, 2008 - 10:19 pm Fine Nute...discuss away..you know how to get a hold of me when you are ready. Daconia

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 01:35 am Nute: And we are a federation, governed by three, with one person speaking for all. Obviously you would rather cast our fed operations aside in favor of yours. You act as if you cannot communicate with each other, when in the past it seems as though you had no troubles at all. I can think of numerous peace negotiations that were held behind closed doors that ended fruitfully for all. AF will be conducting our end as we wish, after my post you will see no one but Daconia. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves, and get in touch with Daconia when you have reached an agreement.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 01:40 am Not absent Nazi killer. Just renamed.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 01:45 am Brincy!!! Good to see you my friend!

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 07:05 am @Brince, We havent met and I highly doubt you do want to meet me. Incase you dont know UC and the current offworlders have come to an agreement and realize the war is pointless from our view and their view. In any event we don't really care who is friends with Defcon, if you want to come to GR and disturb things than come on down and we can get the show on the road you really should get a better definition of what asshats mean because we don't have any on our side. If you want a problem come get it, go ahead go get those weapons from the AF CEOs you just incriminated yourself. Now you can either relax and realize the big mistake your about to make or come on down and find out. Def may have friends but we do as well so keep that in mind when you make your next move. Crossdale.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 07:13 am On behalf of the United Confederation, I would like to state that I have talked to Nute and we have agreed to abide by John L's proposed:
However, this being a major step out of our organizational structure we will need time to talk to everyone and prep a negotiator to speak on behalf of the federation. We are currently having debates on how to approach the table and are taking in feedback from everyone as to what they would like to have done.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 02:54 pm Hi Brince! So you coming to GR too?

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 07:13 pm Greetings Mr. Brince Falcon, I am just wanting let you know that I am in full and 100% agreement with what Mr. Crossdale said above. We at the United Confederation are not worried about your implied threats. I too have never met you, and you have not met me but should we meet on the field of war I have plenty of hardware to back up what I say. Therefore, I say be careful when you strat trying to find "loop holes" and you should think about it, take a second, matter fact, you should take four seconds. So now you have been informed. So you make your own choice. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 08:22 pm More treaty less superfluous tomfoolery.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 - 11:59 pm Anything worth doing is worth doing right is all I have to say at this point.

Thursday, June 5, 2008 - 03:33 am Fire bastion is now back in John Fires/"Sun Tzu" hands. Im nearly out of this at this point. assets are heading back to my main. Ill be dropping my slaves at an accelerated pace over the next week.

Thursday, June 5, 2008 - 08:48 am I have dropped two more slaves, not sure if they were really relevant, but I am going back to a peaceful state.

Saturday, June 7, 2008 - 04:49 am Mesmerizing~!! My eyes are now doing the elliptical orbit around Golden Rainbow, just spinning in zero gravity at our Peace movement~! Huzzah~!! *Bongo's Beat and Alcohol Sweets, the sound of thumb and fingers snapping; go man, go, repeat this chant, as all can sleep well tonight* Well done folks, just stay focused.

Sunday, June 8, 2008 - 04:59 am From a "cruit" (what we called noobs in the military): Amazing game, and I've been following the situation closely, as I have an economic interest in the happenings (no country yet, just an enterprise). I'm old enough to remember the mid 60's, and it's wild to see that the game parallels RL so much. When the Paris peace talks for Vietnam started they took months just deciding who sat where and what shape the tables were going to be! Hope the ceasefire turns into a full treaty, and I'll try not to asshat anyone in my business dealings. Cheers, JMR32, Raab Enterprises.

Sunday, June 8, 2008 - 08:20 am Hey Guys this upcoming week is going to be a rough one for me. I have finals this week and will be unavailable from Wed through Sat. I plan on blowing off some steam Sat evening..so assuming I don't end up in jail...realistically I won't be on until Sunday. Hopefully we can get some meaningful talks in the following week. Daconia

Monday, June 9, 2008 - 12:54 am Greetings Daconia, This is certainly a reasonable request. Good luck with your finals. It is my hope that you will stay clear of legal trouble, and that you can perform well on your finals. Prehaps all parties will indeed be ready in the following week real time date June 16, 2008. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - 01:35 am "You had your chance multi. Now that little matter is settled let peace reign on GR." Now that I'm back I can respond to this drivel from GRs only Goddess. I have been at war pretty much since late Feb. I have taken over 22 AF countires, helped with many others, and only lost 6 total. Do these numbers sound like someone you wanna mess with? I have yet to see anything you have to offer impress me in any way. For instance, You attacked Raven over a week ago and lost. That was a noob that we coached. Enough said. I am pleased that you stated that you are not in anyway affiliated with the AF. That makes it SOOOO much easier for me to remove you from GR at MY OWN discression without affecting the standing ceasefire. General Dirt PS-My ammo counts are still thru the roof and my CEO is still well-stocked. Oh yeah, still have 400+ nukes. Try me.

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - 02:32 am Amen

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - 05:28 am I stopped depopping Raven when I heard of the ceasefire. I also sent him 5M in pop to compensate for damages I had caused. Unlike you I realize this is a social game. A game I have never felt compelled to cheat at. Asshat. I spent a grand total of 6T in my campaign on GR. I made a very nice profit. I am satisfied with the outcome. If you wish to "remove me" Crossdale knows where my peaceful trading empire is located. Dont you Dizzy. And in an ironic turn of events I have the Pope deciding your fate when asked what a multi was.......

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - 05:39 am Goddess, You stopped? Yes, when you were stopped. And whats with this depopping crap you keep threatening? Depop all ya want buddy, while your busy, I'll be de-countrying you. Have a splendid day, General Dirt

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - 08:58 am Im really sick of this God of Coats kid, maybe you should quit while your ahead Sammy. Crossdale.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 12:29 am We need to find a new thread for this. It draws from the spirit of the cease fire. I would suggested we post no more other then updates of the peace treaty. Its obvious there is no love lost between the "outsiders" and UC. Lets not complicate this process and allow AF and UC to reach an agreement they can live with. Once the cease fire is reached sam, saber and I can engage in a "controlled" military exercise with dirt, austia and crossdale. We can work out the details. We can plan it and risk what we each individualy feel comfortable risking. Im thinking sometime in late august. Its a busy summer. Ive dereged now down to 3 coutries and will be at a leader only by this weekend. barney

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 02:21 am I wish AF the best working out the details. I apologize to the members and leadership of AF for not ignoring UC's obvious attempts at restarting hostilities. I will not comment further on this thread. As for the other offer I have no interest in working out anything with Dizzy or his multis. The next time we communicate it will be on LU.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 07:50 am UC members, please read my post in the UC forums. It will be informative and hopefully pave the way to a much more quiet future. You'll see what I mean when you read it. ;)

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 11:18 am Omg def you must remeber not to insult disrespect or belittle any member of uc. thats weird because for all the peace talks they like to disrespect Af alot, hmmm inbteresting. Just a passing comment

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 06:24 pm I would like AlfredTheGreat1900 to give ONE example of AF being disrespected by ANY United Confederations member in this thread!

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 08:22 pm This thread itself is an insult to Allied Forces. No need for you to ask for examples.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 11:22 pm oh, is that Dcon calling off the Cease fire? Also, the AF is not a Fed, it is a couple of old foggies who think they own GR.

Thursday, June 12, 2008 - 05:57 am Actually I am beginning to wonder whether Defcon actually speaks for AF on GR anymore.
Boy will I have a lot to talk about with Daconia.

Thursday, June 12, 2008 - 11:49 am There is a difference between disagreeing and disrespecting. There are only some disagreements in this thread, not disrespect.

Thursday, June 12, 2008 - 08:09 pm i have stated before my empire on gr is to be liquidated. why would i be af if i have nothing to represent them with. sounds like some people needs to keep their noses out of my business and worry about fed dealings.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 - 03:16 pm UPDATE: I have it from an official source that work on the UC/AF Peace Treaty is in progress. The two negotiators have meet and are to meet again soon.

Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 06:19 pm Good news John L, thanks

Friday, June 27, 2008 - 08:44 pm Greetings President Daconia, I trust you have rested up from you final exams. I know that Pope John Fire has been meeting with you regarding the negotiations, and he has reported that there is indeed progress. However, I am seeing that you and some of your fedmates are showing aggressive postures that could jeopardize these peace talks. For example there are numerous fleets owned by yourself and other Allied Forces members parked near several United Confederation members countries. More specifically Ugur Mumcu is a fleet command of Appletini (President Daconia) which is currently parked near United Confederation Centura (President SeaPebbles). It seems others such as President richard robinson and President Aqua Rainbow have their navies parked near the coast of United Confederation countries. Finally President richard robinson has recently acquired a country near United Confederation Centura. While these actions in and of themselves may seem harmless I am prone to view them as aggressive in nature and ask that you would have your members to withdraw their fleets back to their own countries. I also think that it would be wise for President richard robinson to sell or otherwise dispose of rr23 as he is being viewed as a threat and could be the cause of the peace talks to break down. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Friday, June 27, 2008 - 09:31 pm Always looking for excuses. Meh

Saturday, June 28, 2008 - 04:52 pm Mr Nute, "While these actions in and of themselves may seem harmless I am prone to view them as aggressive in nature and ask that you would have your members to withdraw their fleets back to their own countries. I also think that it would be wise for President richard robinson to sell or otherwise dispose of rr23 as he is being viewed as a threat and could be the cause of the peace talks to break down. Nute Gunray the Viceroy" I am not responding officially on behalf of Allied Forces but as a private member of Simcountry. Mr Nute, As you stated "you are prone". Does this mean you see aggression in every action taken by other players on Golden Rainbow. I recently took Star 7 and Star 9 within three countries of Awesome on Lynx Minor. Is this an aggressive act on my part or just part of my defense posturing? I assure you president Richard Robinson is way too busy managing his vast empire of new countries to even have time to think of taking aggressive actions against an active president. Well! I've done it, I said my two cents. Now have a nice day, be it happy or filled with paranoid thoughts and dillusiones. John L

Saturday, June 28, 2008 - 08:14 pm You have your facts a bit wrong John L. You are not very close to any of my countries. You are within three countries of JF and two countries of both Crossdale and Nute.

Saturday, June 28, 2008 - 10:51 pm Peekaboo i see you

Sunday, June 29, 2008 - 12:06 am AHHHHHH. Shit! Dont do that cross. Your too ugly. Cover your face again fast! Haha. Im nearly down to a leader only on GR. Liquidating my last slave. I have some decent weaponry. Im hoping you guys chat each other up again and push the weapons market into major shortage so I can take my leave flush with even more treasure. Reminds me of the south park where Al Gore trapped the boys in a cave and Cartmen found that "treasure." He gobbled all that loot and needed to be carted out, whilst his big belly jingled all the way. Greed can be good?

Sunday, June 29, 2008 - 05:10 am My Bad, I just like the cool climate in North Western Golden Rainbow and I hear the fishing is still very good. So Mr Crossdale and Mr Nute, Just ignore my fishing fleets, If I have them in the area they are armed with pea shooters for defense against Artic Sea Monsters.

Sunday, June 29, 2008 - 06:30 am @Barney,LOL maybe you think im ugly but your wife seems to think im pretty sexy especially, when we cuddle in your bed;) @John L, enjoy the UC waters as long as you like but when i start to go fishing very shortly it wont be for bass or salmon it will be more like for AF navies and oversized John L's. I am the Arctic Sea Monster so hurry and move while you can!

Sunday, June 29, 2008 - 04:24 pm @Mr Crossdale, Will your Ressurection fleet be setting out to sea also?

Monday, June 30, 2008 - 01:03 am Nope, you have to wait and see

Monday, June 30, 2008 - 06:04 am What ever you guys do, look out for that damn wirlpool in the middle of the ocean. It got one of my frigates yesterday.

Monday, June 30, 2008 - 07:52 am YELLOW SUBMARINE by the BEATLES In the town where I was born, Lived a man who sailed to sea, And he told us of his life, In the land of submarines, So we sailed on to the sun, Till we found the sea of green, And we lived beneath the waves, In our yellow submarine, We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine, We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine. All our friends are all aboard, Many more of them live next door, And the band begins to play. (Trumpets play) We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine, We all live a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine. (Full speed ahead, Mr. Parker, full speed ahead! Full speed over here, sir! Action station! Action station! Aye, aye, sir, fire! Captin! Captin!) As we live a life of ease Every one of us is all we need, Sky of blue, and sea of green, in our yellow submarine. ( Hahaha! ) We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine, We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine. (fading) We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine, We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine.

Monday, June 30, 2008 - 12:19 pm Two alternative versions: We all live in a Yellow Submarine. We didn't like the colour, So we painted it Green. The Green peeled off, So we painted it Red. The Red was toxic, And now were dead. We all live in a yellow submarine. We didn't like the colour, So we painted it green. Green wasn't right, So we painted it red. Red wasn't waterproof, So now we're all dead.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 - 07:01 am I apologize for my recent absences. I've had a lot of personal issues that hit me all at the same time and I've had to do a lot of traveling. I'll be back home this Friday or Saturday, and hopefully we can finish up this treaty. Nute, I moved the fleet that was concerning you. I honestly had no idea it was there. I'll speak to my fedmates about "aggressive actions", however do look at things before jumping to conclusions about them. I want to thank everyone for keeping the trash talking down. It has made working out our differences much easier.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 - 09:15 am Hello Dac, Thanks for moving that fleet. I know David used to own both of the countries that are involved and it was prolly left there from long ago. That said, a man can never be too careful ya know! I wouldn't want to have you all pull a 'dirty' on me! hehe ;)~

Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 07:39 am Thanks again President Daconia for your understanding and quick response reguarding the misplaced fleets. President Aqua isn't so easy to deal with. I wrote him a letter with my concerns and requests 2 weeks ago and he never acted or responded. I just wrote him again stating my concerns again, this time it wasn't as nice. Since we are all well on our way to peace I figure it would be best if I post the letter here so that things don't get exagerated. Thanks for your time folks, Dirt the Fisherman -------------------------------- Greetings President Aqua, I wrote you a couple of weeks ago reguarding your fleets sitting off the coast of 2 of my countries. You didn't respond, so this time I'm gonna make it clearer. If you do not move those fleets in quick order I will have no choice to go before my Fed and discuss actions against you, war included. I know that it prolly isn't a big deal with them being there but since we were both involved in a major war against each other I think it would be best if they were gone to solidify the peace treaty. The same request was made to Dac about fleets of hers in my area and she gladly moved them. The clock is ticking... Respectfully, General Dirt

Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 08:44 am Has aqua been active? He strikes me as the type of player to go inactive for stretches of time.

Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 02:32 pm General Dirt, Are you itching for a fight? Aqua has been active in the past week. But, What I have in mind for the Hawks in UC is a War Federation. Allied Forces could set up a war federation and UC could do the same. Then when the urge to fight strikes a member of the war federation he could pick on another member with similar inclination and then they can fight it out. Give me your take on this. John L

Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 04:56 pm Just so long as nobody declares war before the treaty is signed then the option of wargames between UC and AF members who so desire may be an option for the future (even if still playing for keeps). Just so long as nobody declares war before the treaty is signed. John Fire

Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 11:14 pm Greetings JohnL, If I was itchin for a fight I would have already struck without consulting anyone. The truth is its fishin season and I don't have time for any scrappin'. Thats why I wrote a nice letter. If I wanted to live up to my 'warhawk' rep I woulda sent that letter strapped to a bomb. All I want is Aqua to comply and according to the treaty both AF and UC are to police members that are getting bullish. So don't preach to me, preach to your boy Aqua and get those ships off my coast! Thanks for your time, Dirt

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 06:23 am Mr Dirt or is it still General Dirt? "All I want is Aqua to comply and according to the treaty both AF and UC are to police members that are getting bullish." Treaty has not been signed nor ratified by either federation. Your demand should be voiced to UC's treaty negotiator and not here in this forum. War federations have not been set up and most likely none will be formed until after AF/UC Treaty is signed and ratified. John L. Acting Chairman, Allied Forces Golden Rainbow

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 11:31 am Just plain ol Dirt right now. General Dirt was coined by one of my Fed brothers during the war. All you have stated reguarding the treaty is true. But I gotta say, isn't all this arguing back and forth on stupid details kinda bullshit? All Aqua has to do is move his 4 fleets from 2 differant countries I own...THATS IT! How flippin' easy would that be? Damn, Pres. Dac. moved hers as soon as it was brought up. And this is indeed the right place to discuss this, since I already have written him and he didnt respond. So PLEASE John, since you are the Chairman of the AF, can you talk to Aqua about this? Thanks Happy Independance Day America! Thanks for your time John, Dirt

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 11:59 am There is no point in argueing. If by simply PUSHING a butten can secure peace than a peace wanting person would do it. It's not like we are asking him to cut off his trigger finger. If Dod fra Sjoen was anchored off your coast you would not be happy either. (look it up, it's norwegian.) I won't twist your arm however. It's a free world. Austia

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 04:43 pm Mr Dirt, I hope you can go fishing and not be concerned about your security. With you last request being stated so politely without the demanding overtone, I have taken the time to message Aqua and ask him to return his fleet to his home port. I fully support the peace initiative and I have other goals to achieve this summer beside fighting a senseless war. As I stated I am only temporarily Chairman of Allied Forces and expect Daconia's return in the next several days at which time work on the peace treaty can resume. This is new information that I am sharing with members of UC and the Golden Rainbow World. Camp Lejeune MCB has totally severed ties with Allied Forces Federation. Allied Forces Federation will not take responsibility for any actions of this former Allied Forces Chairman. I ask the Global Community to abstain from any hostile actions against this former Allied forces member unless his actions threaten your national security. John L Temporary Chairman, Allied Forces Golden Rainbow.

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 05:17 pm @Austia, Here is my search result "Results for 'Dod fra Sjoen' Norwegian English Dod fra Sjoen No matches found "

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 10:10 pm John L, He was planning this for a while.
Second time I quoted this in here.

Friday, July 4, 2008 - 11:16 pm Who gives two shits about what i do....I've told you UC homos many times before....keep your fucking noses on your faces and out of my business, or you're going to find your summer vacations rudely interrupted. God damn, you guys are a bunch of fucking stalkers.

Monday, July 21, 2008 - 03:43 pm UC/AF Peace treaty is in process of being ratified in AF, results of member vote should be in today.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008 - 03:58 am please see the topic The Treaty of the Great War. Nute Gunray the Viceroy

Saturday, August 2, 2008 - 05:36 am bumped for the sake of history

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - 07:29 pm hey can anyone tell me how to end a war when the country has no president i already sent the peace treaty 3 game months ago and i cant seem to end it.

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - 08:32 pm I believe you just stop attacking and in seven game months the war will end. It does no good to offer a peace treaty to a country without a president, there is no one there to accept it.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008 - 12:07 am Yeah, Tom Willard doesn't answer peace treaties.
