what you should do is first build your economy population and education then build your millitary and as soon as you dont have enough room you can either attack a free country or declare war on other countrys or just build airports |

my wife loves csi... she has like the first 6 seasons on dvd, and watches them over and over...mostly because we don't have tv... and i hog the computer.
anyways, david walker gave you the keys to the first couple doors. education is the most important thing early on.
i've noticed the education index is based on the lowest index of the three "schools." try to increase them evenly, but don't pull your hair out doing it...
CW also have a very good point, by asking generalized questions, you get generalized answers, that wont make much since...
their is a forum dedicated to questions, if you go their, you might find many questions answered already for you...
as far as a fed, if your new, a fed could offer you experienced players to mentor you... so it might be worth looking at.
