Apollonius IV. | Thursday, November 19, 2015 - 01:15 pm Did someone throw 200 trillion kwhs on the market? Did a major buyer go bankrupt? I'm still new, so please help me understand the probable causes for the recent collapse of Electric Power market. |
jdlech | Friday, November 20, 2015 - 12:25 am Looks like demand dropped by 100B kwhs, while supply remains the same. This started about 6 game months ago. I found this by clicking on the market situation bar (just barely green now), and in the window, I click on the red/green icon right after the number of oversupply. That pulls up a historical graph of supply/demand. Looking at the world supply/demand graphs, it looks like it's almost every sector taking a nosedive, but some sectors are already recovering while others are just starting to get hit. All my state corporations have contracts with each other, so my country hardly noticed. |
Apollonius IV. | Friday, November 20, 2015 - 01:33 pm What could be the possible cause for such a downturn? Some big CEO gone belly up, or just the normal market cycle? "All my state corporations have contracts with each other" Does that work out well? I read on a tutorial that one shouldn't sell domestically, because it's unprofitable compared to the open market. Has that changed, or did I misunderstand something? |
jdlech | Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 07:59 pm Meh. It helps to keep some money circulating inside your country. But it doesn't seem to do a damned thing for corporate profitability. |
