A note to those who seek funds from the security council; it is not a good idea to have your financial statistics on your home page listed as SECRET. As a current security council member, I will not vote for money to be given to anyone who hides their finances from the council. From the looks of the current request and the current voting, I may not be the only security council member who feels the same way. Just some good advice. Thanks! |

Nod - I sold most of my defensive forces, and purchased 2 trillion credits with gold to easy current and future obligations.
Could you clarify your statement on standards? I notice the last proposal voted on by the Security Council has over 10 trillion cash on hand, and assets of over 25 trillion. That's more than me by a factor of 10, and 2 respectively. While the Defensive Index is lower - I believe that durable goods have more liquidity on the market. And other uses, such as pumping them back into corporations if held by the government and vice-versa.
While I hope to never desperately need such aid, it would be nice to know that simple cash on hand is not the only qualifier. If it is, I can rapidly qualify for that aid, as I am trying to reach the benchmarks for game level 3.

Marshall, the qualifying standard I was speaking of was that you had too much net cash to qualify. The following is the exact words when I tried to put your country up for aid:
"You cannot give Development Aid to a country
if the Net Cash exceeds 2 Trillion $E."
Maybe I shouldn't have said 'cash on hand'.
To tell you the truth, I don't know all of the standards that are required for SC funds. Maybe it's in the documentation.
I don't normally step in and do this part of the process (I do vote however), but request seemed to be going unanswered, so here I am......
The former country that was voted on for aid you spoke of did not have the funds that it currently has when we voted on an aid package.

Many thanks Chris. Hopefully, I didn't come off as carping. I will look over the documentation, I have a Federation member in serious constraints, and my country isn't really in a great position to do more than minimal amounts of help. (And not even sure how to go about it, but I'm looking).

President edward78, I looked over your country. It has a lot of things going for it, such as a good welfare index.
I see that your income is dropping partially because your new player money from the game is decreasing every month, so you are right to head this off before it becomes an issue.
You presently have too much cash to get aid from the security council, but you really don't need it if you tweak a few things.
Here are my suggestions:
1. Raise you corp profit sharing from 30% to 80%. Keep your taxes at 0%.
2. You have too many active military personnel. Dismantle the military units you have inside your country...you don't need them since you are in secured mode. Also, deactivate as much of the military as possible for now.
3. Build up your CEO base more; I can help you with that since your welfare index is so good. I will also buy some of Marshal's CEO corps in your country; they will go out of existence since he quit.
4. When you get your economy built up better, then set your military units back up if you are wanting to take C3's.

I do not even know I have so many troops active. I make it a point to deactivate all military but I never thought that those troops which have been setup up in units have so much!! But I remember only setting up 1 supply unit, I guess the others is pre-setup by the game.
I will raise my corps profit sharing to 80% but would that hurt my corps?
I always welcome CEO corp. Just that it is pretty hard to get them into my country. I build state corp just because I need more people works and pay taxes. Hopefully more CEO will build at my country. I'm willing to close a few state corps or even buy a few pop to raise the workers force. |

You're welcome edward.
Raising profit sharing to 80% will not hurt your state corps at all. You have several that are worth over 1T SC$$. There is really no sense in letting them sit there with all that wealth. State corps will auto-transfer extra money to the country if the cash on hand is more than the game allows, but you still want to get as much as possible out of them without damaging them, and 80% is fine for that.

I attacked a C3 early on and am almost finished looting it's pop, and I've long since looted the rest of its assets.
