I think GR's name is Golden Rainbow's because of the proximity to Saint Patrick's Day. Where's a pot of gold, there's a rainbow... and a leprechaun to kick you in the arse. Golden evokes gold and a fool's gold, aka, Gold Coins. ;0

Wow, GR shares a birthday with my sister. Not the year though. What a shame that I couldn't get her to play >_>
The first time I played SimCountry, for all of perhaps one month, GR was only for paid members (you could play for free on WG and KB(?) but your country would reset every month or so). I figured it was called Golden Rainbow because it was a magical land where the streets were paved with gold, or something. |
