FredMark (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 09:14 am Prehistory: Bottom line, I uncovered an exploit Q used in order to advance. I communicated to veteran payers for clarification and found that exploit is well known (I was pointed by veteran player to a bunch corp was established 11 month ago). I also found that it was unspoken rule that exploit is to be used for war countries only, not as a matter of achievement. Et present Meantime, it appears unacceptable to veteran player that Q would use such a well known and cheap trick to advance. It did not help he was posing himself as a victim of 0.87% of QL adjustment while making additional undeserving 2B per month per gasoline factory, using an exploit. In any way, last thing I was made to believe that war is imminent and those players asked me not to report exact details as far as it may damage balance of war-related economy. PER ASPERA AT ASTRA It was not my intend to bring Q massive exploit issue that everyone seems know about to an edge of the war. At the same time, I can't really say I feel sorry for his losses. HOWEVER: I do not believe in such case GREF members must suffer in any way. GREF is an economic federation that is tailored for new players. GR will find nothing good by destroying members that have absolutely no military power and concentrate on lv7 achievement by MIBs. MY PLEDGE. I did rather well by mostly speculating on cash market as well as getting to lvl 3 on 3 worlds, Although I started just 2 weeks ago, I have 942 coins as we speak. I pledge veteran player to pay them cost of lost opportunity in this war for all members of GREF but Q. That assumes cost of pop sales beyond 20M as other benefits are intangible. That assumes they WILL engage and provide defense capability to Prolifica, as they expected to do and any of us expect them to as a member of federation. As far as it is is a part of my good will, I assume no abuse of calculation would come to surface on either part. Being of SNA member on LU I know that veteran players are conducting their business based on honor and long term SC viability, not immediate gain of couple million pop. P.S. Understanding of GREF as Q's subsidiary is short visioned. GREF consist of many interesting upcoming and established economic player that will make SC world reacher and more interesting. P.P.S. No matter what we thing about this war, it would not be an issue if Prolifica I-V were 7 mln countries. Nobody would give a damn. We all know that commitment of the force must have a long term reasons and, in this case, it is fully justified. I am not stupid to understand I am providing Casus Belli, I do believe it may not be as reasonable, but well deserved by Q. |
quaxocal (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 07:37 pm Fredmark, what the hell are you talking about? Seriously? |
quaxocal (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 08:05 pm After reading my own federation forums, I realize it now. I don't consider it an exploit as you do, considering its built into the game and has been known for years by others. Though it was self-discovered by me. Fredmark, another thing. As many of my federation members and close friends in-game know, real life has been taking its toll on the time I have for the game over the past month or so. I don't have the time to explain every possible aspect of this game to everyone. I'm still learning new things almost every day about this game. It would take me hours upon hours to explain them to someone or to type them out. I don't have that kind of free-time. As for the market price problem, that effects EVERYONE. And I have repeatedly stated this in my posts and dealings with the gamemaster. Many veteran players I have talked to regarding the problem. EVERYONE's profits are way down due to that problem, not just my own. I have tried to help others deal with the problem, with many simple suggestions. And fredmark, no one told me anything about an unspoken rule. People like you, just disgust me so much. If people as you say, are going to attack me, then so be it. I'm about done with this game anyways due to all the massive problems with it and GM's refusal to fix things. |
quaxocal (Golden Rainbow) | Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 08:31 pm By the way, Fredmark, who do you think made the MIB's well-known? I did the research based on the documentation data, and figured that out. I have helped countless players to understand things about this game, and to spread knowledge. Maybe I should just stop doing so all together, since it just results in threats like this. I think YOU are just upset because I didn't have HOURS to explain to YOU how everything worked. Maybe you should tell everyone how you were wanting to CALL ME in REAL LIFE so we could talk about the game and how it worked? I'm sorry, I don't have that kind of time to devote to anyone, and certainly not over this game. Why don't you tell everyone all the questions you repeatedly were asking me? And how I answered them as best as I could? I work a full-time job, and have a significant other now. I don't have much time anymore for this game. I haven't for several weeks. If you wish to cause war over this, then you are sorrier than I thought. Q |

WildEyes (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 09:45 pm For those who aren't aware of the difference: Exploit = old nuke loophole, old country-name loophole, old 21-day protection loophole, old invasion bug, etc This "thing" = not an exploit. It's the same as using targeting priorities to your advantage with the War Engine. |

Slare | Sunday, February 1, 2009 - 05:17 pm Using the fact that not all supplies are equally priced and not all supplies are needed in equal quantity for a corporation to produce a given quality of end product... Instead of buying all supplies at the same quality via the automated system, you can get the same average quality of supplies at a lower average cost by buying certain supplies at higher quality and others at lower quality. The ideal mix will vary between corporation types. This isn't a bug or exploit so much as it is an intrinsic feature of the economic game and basic math. Note this takes a lot of micromanagement, and I don't think it works as well in the game as raw spreadsheet numbers indicate, especially now that producing very high quality products is a waste of money due to the recent bugs/changes. |
