I have talked to a few people are the game and they all say that it is bad to supply your own corporations from your own corporations. Like their is a shortage of factory maintance units right now in GR, so if i had a company producing those, shouldn't i contract its production to my other corps???

Prince,
I was bored with the LU forum so i migrated to this one,Everyone else seems to do the same thing too.
I was contracting all my corporations back to myself and trying to become selfsupportive.Well my corporations were taking loans out left & Right, and not making profits.
I was asking simular questions in Forums, and getting some goo advice and slowly begain to get it. i Spoke with EO and he helped me to understand.
1) only contract the minimum your common market requires you to contract.
2) If you contract to yourself like the FMU only do so until the shortage lets up some. it will get you thru the hard times.
3) while you contract thru a common market you are not in control of the Quality of the product you buy(example: if you only need 190% quality [and you do] and your FMU corp produces 330%) then you will pay the inflated price for the FMU's on the common market/contract,Thus spending more money for the FMU's and lowering the profits of the corp you contracted the FMU's to.
So if push come to shove and i needed FMU's for a particular corp i would do a direct sale from my FMU corp to the corp i Needed them in and buy only 2-3 monthes worth. this system requires a lot of micro management but it helps the Profits.

Better solution: buy your country (or CEO) some FMU (or whatever) as excess, then sell it to corporations if short.

Though, I doubt you should need to do this. If a corp has a shortage, just immediate buy some for the corporation.

Only problem is that every time i log on all my corps have huge red shortage signs next to FMU's, and i have to immediate order every time which sometimes takes a month or 2 at which my corps do nothing. Is there some way to set a level where my corps have to have all their supplies like a year in advance or something????

Also why does my corps value keep dropping, they were at 1.5 bill with only 13 corps, now they are at 1 bill with 14 of them and i have automatic effectivity and quality upgrades going which should raise their value also????

Also why does it always say that i have a shortage of workers when i always have a whole bunch unemployed just waiting around to employed, why does it say that??? why doesn't it just employ to its max.

The corps part of this game has me going crazy, someone wanna help out here??

Thanks for the help guys by the way!!!
