you are welcome Yasmin. i hope to see you in our academy real soon.

mr. seapebbles i was acting in defense of the af when i declared on your countries. i had so much of a good laugh when i got a few nuclear attacks through that i am not mad towards you. however i am not to sure if i should trust you since you and your uc fed members did not follow the terms of the treaty with af that you had agreed to. but i am no longer in the af nor am i aligned with that fed. so i do not see any need to defend them nor to attempt to enforce that broken treaty. i serve under Mr. John L. and i will follow his commands. i have sworn to defend my federation New Holy Roman Empire federation on GR.

Well since you are on the subject of the treaty...

It was the AF that broke the treaty terms when Aqua put sanctions upon an Austia country. That was a very clear violation..PERIOD. And also, for the record...you attacked countries that weren't activated. I wish you the best of luck if there is ever a next time.

Come and Join Allied Forces! David Walker is the current chairman and has been playing the game for over 5 real life years. He can give new members lots of tips to improve their economies, military and has lots of good diplomatic relations.

If you would like to join the oldest federation on Golden Rainbow then please send a message to "Land of Liam E TW1" and David will advise you as to which Federation to join!

From Aqua

P.S. To SeaPebles: As you know Ameche was illegally ousted from Allied Forces as Chairman by a top ranking official! This action was supported and partly orchestrated by UC. Austia, a UC member of the Security Council placed a sanction on Ameche who I believed was still the legitimate Chairman of Allied Forces; therefore I placed a sanction on Austia!

It was not as black and white as you make out SeaPebbles! The terms for any peace treaty were that Ameche was to be deposed as chairman of AF. Therefore I found the treaty not to be legal and any violations to be ambiguous to say the least!

Article V.
This treaty may be renegotiated at any time if both sides agree to renegotiate it. Any percieved violation must be discussed between representatives of the United Confederation and Allied Forces for a 72 hour period before any action will be taken.

Ameche isn't in the AF anymore. He doesn't fly your banner. Sanctions placed on Defcon by Austia in no way violated the ageement.

You in turn, took things into your own hands and sanctioned Austia. That was an aggressive action by a SENIOR AF member on a UC member. Not to mention you never obeyed this...

Any percieved violation must be discussed between representatives of the United Confederation and Allied Forces for a 72 hour period before any action will be taken.

That "illegal" treaty is the only reason you didn't lose the rest of your empire. You wanted peace as much as the next guy so don't bust bad on us now.

Dirt, I lost my whole empire Defending Allied Forces!

Certain Members of UC along with a senior member of Allied Forces orchestrated an illegal Coup to get Ameche out of office before any peace treaty was even negotiated!

Therefore the peace treaty is nil and void. That is why David is re-negotiating the treaty with Dizzy so the treaty in question will be legally bound!

you can put daisies on a pile of shit, but it's always gonna be a pile of shit.
(in reference to Aqua's defense)

You broke the treaty and your fedmates suffered due to your actions. Just like the fed suffered due to Ameche's actions. Hence the reason members of the AF wanted him gone.

The majority of members of Allied Forces did not want Ameche to go! There was a plot against Ameche orchestrated by UC!

Unfortunately a senior member of AF acted unwisely and in league with UC! This action was not supported by the majority of Allied Forces Members! In fact this action was done behind the scenes and in secret!

A UC representative gave an ultimatum to the senior member of AF in question to work in league with UC! The ultimatum was to get rid of Ameche as leader of AF before any treaty would be negotiated: True or False?

This was an illegal act for the member in question to take under the AF Constitution and subsequently the treaty could not be recognised as legal and legitimate!

For the sake of Clarity.

Posted by JL on the thread in the GR Forums titled "Treaty of the Great War"

Friday, August 8, 2008 - 04:32 am
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The countries: Me and my Weber, Dirts Quest and other former or current member of UC have declared on Appletini a ciuntry onned by Daconia (Chairman of Allied Forces).

As a member of Allied forces and assistant to Daconia, I invoke the terms of Article 1 of The Treaty of the Great War.

Article I.
Both Allied Forces and the United Confederation agree not to attack each other or allow any of their member's to attack each other. Should any member attack the other federation, both federations are obligated to declare war on this member. Should any member decide to leave either federation and attack the other federation, both federations are obligated to attack this member. Both sides agree that hostile acts such as boycotts, uninvited bidding on private and state corporations and anti-nuclear security council resolutions will not be tolerated and will be viewed as an attack. This shall be applied to all current and future members of both the United Confederation and Allied Forces.

John L
----------------------------------------------

This message was not responded to by any member of the UC. In fact, after attacking Daconia's countries and ignoring the statutes of the treaty, members of the UC continued their unprovoked attacks on AF members Allen Spencer, Duke Cobra, and myself, Cujo Havez. I believe this came before this so called 'treaty breaking sanction' placed on Austia, rendering this entire pissing contest moot.

If anyone can prove that this sanction placed on austia occured before August 8th, I shall post a retraction and apology.

Attacks on Allen Spencer? Duke Cobra? and yourself?

Allen Spencers empire was wiped clean WAY WAY before the war ended and the treaty was signed.

Duke Cobras empire wasn't worth 2 cents and none of us wanted it.

And you Cujo. You started garrisoning on my border and I took it as a threat...especially since this happened right after you and I had words in these forums. Its awesome that you left out key info, like the fact that our situation was solved peacefully.

Your timeline is flawed. Dac and Defcon were the only 2 attacked in the last round.

Man, I must be a glutton for punishment. I realize this will only incite more nonsense, but I cannot stand by while you accuse me of lying.

You still believe you were right to attack my country because I was using too many one jeep supply units? You first told me to repsond to your pm or be attacked. When I didn't log in for a day, You had Crossdale message me with an ultimatum, to respond or be attacked. When I responded immediately with an apology, you then sent me a message telling me to build corps in your country, and that you were going to build corps in my country. You also said, keep the lines of communication open, it would be best for peace. Then, after I took some of my troops out of the garrisons, you sneak attacked me, twice. I have not recieved any communication from you since. Fortunately, I was online during the attacks. I spoke with Dizzy, in irc, who convinced that this was an isolated incident, that you "sometimes couldn't keep your finger off the trigger." I let it go.

Duke Cobra's country stated that it was "at war" just after you moved in next door to him. Can't prove it was you, but _someone_ declared on him. It could have been a treaty dec, as well, so I let it go.

As for these 'rounds' of attacks, they continue. Yesterday Tatooed Priest attacked and took a country belonging to T Banguel, setting off all kinds of treaty decs. He is deployed in the navy currently, I believe, and may not be able to check in on his slaves every week. I don't know him very well, and AF includes many older players who may go inactive for periods of time, so I let it go.

I do think that we should keep the lines of communication open, especially before we attack each other's countries. I may be wrong again, as I am still new to all of this. T Banguel or David may have given permission, or I may just not know how quickly inactive countries fade back to c3's... but don't you think that conquering other's Fedmate's countries without warning is a slight bit more aggressive than posting bad jokes on the forum, attempting to place sanctions, filling garrisons, and other "AF atrocities?"

You said earlier in this thread, "You [Aqua] in turn, took things into your own hands and sanctioned Austia. That was an aggressive action by a SENIOR AF member on a UC member. Not to mention you never obeyed this...

Any percieved violation must be discussed between representatives of the United Confederation and Allied Forces for a 72 hour period before any action will be taken.

Black and White."

I do not condone Aqua's actions, but where was my 72 hour grace period for explaining that I was learning how to use a game function, not preparing for war? I am dissapointed that the United Confederation allows such behavior, but what am I to do to defend myself and my fellow fedmates? Declare on you and be wiped off the map by any number of UC vets? I hope that in the future the largest Federation on Golden Rainbow will treat its neighbors with more respect, and take leadership in making GR a safe and fun place to grow and develop.

Our perspectives are quite different, General Dirt. As you can see I have been patient with you. I ask only the same in return.

Cujo, shaker of beehives.

Cujo, please message me with details about what happened exactly to you. I will personally compensate you for any losses if necessary.

This was an individual and understandable misinterpretation of federation rules. This war was not approved the United Confederation and we are taking steps to ensure that this breach of our Charter doesn't happen again. We are a newly large federation, and cannot watch what all our members are doing all the time. This shouldn't happen again, as we have now implemented a clear process for evaluating conflicts as a federation, rather than individually.

If there is a problem with any United Confederation member in the future, contact me (Fire Dawning) or Nute (UNITED STAR TRADE FEDERATION) and we will try to resolve it in a manner pleasing to both parties.

Well, thanks for responding to my concerns. As far as the sneak attacks go, I logged in one day to find my newspaper reading 2 new articles. "Hostilities between Lesser Vulgaria [my country] and United Confederation Decambria [dirt's]. United Confederation Decambria lost 169 Land Based Cruise Batteries in the attack. No losses were reported on the Lesser Vulgaria side." It was duplicated again verbatim after that, leading to believe I was attacked twice. I then checked General Dirt's country, his newspaper read the same. My country was not at war. I asked Diz about this, and after checking my newspaper, he said that it was indeed a sneak attack, and that some bug must have revealed the name of the attacker.

I have recieved a few corporations from tatooed priest, and seeing as the only thing I lost was ammo, I consider this compensation enough. Though I will say I have been running my countries' finance indexes into the ground to keep my defense at a red alert. I also almost had a heart attack at seeing a country under my control come under attack.

I will also state that it is within my right to keep whatever defensive forces in my garrisons I see fit. This should not be seen as an offensive action.

Dirt, Nute, Diz, and now Pope JF have all messaged me now, and I am convinced that the current state of peace on GR is less tenuous than I once thought. I hope it will stay this way.
