So I was working today (easy, though busy job), and was thinking about geography as I usually do. Well somewhere in the thought W.G's Oceans popped into my mind, and I remembered that last I checked (old, old player, just returned) they have no names...
So, despite the fact that I have my doubts about them ever being named officially, and while it may serve debatable little purpose, I just feel that it'd be right to name them. Maybe we could come up with some colloquial terms to use for the oceans within the community. Sound like an interesting idea?

Sounds like a great idea. Maybe if gamemaster could add some islands too. Make the game more interested. |

I like the idea too. Let's call at least one of the oceans the White Ocean. I mean where does the name "White" giant come from after all? |

I think some people already had this idea and ran with it on the Simcountry Wiki for Golden Rainbow.

Oh hey there. Glad to see others agree, and have done similar before. T.B.H I planned on looking @ the world map and spitballing some names right after I posted, but I got busy doing something else, then forgot. Long weekend starts now though, so I'll probably have some ideas by Monday. "White ocean" will defs be going in there then. Will council on which bodies of water get what names also when the time comes.
And yeah, always wondered where w.g's name came from, but never gave too much thought, maybe we can solve that...... |
