Charter for International Law of the Planet White Giant
Preamble:
We, the undersigned countries, recognizing the need for a framework of international law to foster peace, cooperation, and stability on the planet White Giant, hereby establish this Charter. We commit ourselves to the principles of mutual respect, equality, and sovereignty, while acknowledging the significance of maintaining a fair and secure global order. This Charter aims to promote the peaceful coexistence of nations, the resolution of disputes through peaceful means, and the establishment of a Security Committee and International Court to uphold and enforce this framework.
Article 1: Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity
1. All nations on the planet White Giant shall maintain their sovereignty and territorial integrity, as recognized by international law.
2. No nation shall purposefully move adjacent to an established empire without the explicit consent of that nation.
Article 2: Placement of Empires
1. In order to encourage fair distribution and prevent undue concentration of power, empires should be placed at least 5-10 countries away from each other, whenever possible.
2. Nations are encouraged to consider the geographic and political landscape when establishing new empires, with due regard for the principle of balanced territorial distribution.
Article 3: Security Committee
1. A Security Committee, consisting of six countries, shall be established to act as the world council for the planet White Giant.
2. The selection process for the Security Committee members shall be as follows:
a. Each nation on the planet White Giant shall be entitled to one vote to nominate a candidate for the committee.
b. Votes shall be conducted on the official Discord White Giant page.
c. The six countries with the highest number of votes shall become members of the Security Committee.
d. In the case of suspected alt accounts voting, any nation may challenge the vote in the International Court, which will make a ruling on its validity.
e. No country may nominate itself for the Security Committee.
Article 4: White Giant International Court
1. The White Giant International Court shall be established to rule on all legal matters pertaining to this Charter.
2. The International Court shall have jurisdiction over cases brought before it by any nation on the planet White Giant.
3. The Court's decisions shall be binding and enforceable.
4. Judges shall be appointed by the Security Council.
Article 5: Dispute Resolution
1. Judges will solve any disputes between nations.
Article 6: Amendments and Review
1. Any amendments to this Charter proposed by the Security Committee shall be subject to the approval of the nations on the planet White Giant.
2. Once approved, the amendment shall be reviewed by the International Court to ensure its compliance with the principles outlined in this Charter.
3. The Security Committee may create rules with a majority vote from the general assembly.
4. Voting times for the council shall be irl 48 hours for the General assembly. 24 Hours for the Security Council.
Article 7: Membership and Terms
1. Committee members and judges who are inactive on the forums or Discord for a period of three consecutive days may be removed from their respective positions by the Security Committee.
2. The term for Committee members and judges shall be 30 days, after which new nominations and votes shall be conducted to select their replacements.
Article 8: Validity and Signatures
1. This Charter shall become valid upon receiving the signatures of at least ten countries on the planet White Giant.
2. Any country on the planet White Giant may sign this Charter to become a party to its provisions.
In witness whereof, the undersigned countries, having read and understood the provisions of this Charter, affix their signatures hereto.

Our leadership has decided to sign this charter. That said, we look on eagerly to see how this charter governs, and remain unsure of how this will work.
We usually dislike outside influences guiding our behavior, but do agree that creating a general framework for planetary leadership is not a bad idea to help promote growth and fun amongst White Giant players.
Additionally, we see value in being able to place votes that may influence this body, and hope to utilize the charter for our own benefit in terms of our empire's security.
We encourage others to think about how this could benefit their own gameplay and to join in.

With the approved signatures from the esteemed countries, namely The Kingdom of Medinat, The Union States of America, China, Emerithe Land, Charn, Sheroni, The Kingdom of Hodg, Panacea, AB States, and CCA Sovereign States Imperium, this Charter is hereby accepted and recognized as international law on the planet White Giant. Having met the requirement of at least ten countries ratifying the Charter, it is now valid and in effect.
In accordance with Article 3 of the Charter, elections for the Security Council will commence in due course. Once the Security Council is seated, they will proceed to nominate countries to serve on the council. The nomination process will follow the guidelines outlined in Article 3, ensuring the selection of countries with the highest number of votes to become members of the Security Committee.
Upon the establishment of the Security Council, they will then proceed to select the judges who will serve on the newly formed White Giant International Court, as stipulated in Article 4 of the Charter. The selection process for judges will be conducted in accordance with the procedures determined by the Security Council. |
