Robert | Thursday, August 6, 2020 - 04:13 am So my Education, Health, Transportation and pretty much all other Indexes are going up, and strong (120+), yet my Welfare Score in all of my Countries are dropping like a Brick. This is SOOOO annoying! Nothing in Documents that can help someone troubleshoot this drop and fix it. Can anyone help? Andy? Robert w/Maricopa on White Giant |
Amalie | Thursday, August 6, 2020 - 06:10 am Bro don’t waste your time i made so much complaints on the subject and no one did a thing My country indexes are great and was 14th on the best countries charts and last game month it fell to 19th instantly. I dont know why but my welfare drop also And my countries are loosing billions of dollars for no reason |
Amalie | Thursday, August 6, 2020 - 06:11 am It is just frustrating and the Gamemaster would not even respond to anything Although i emailed him also still mo response |
johnV | Thursday, August 6, 2020 - 12:30 pm You are showing a pop trans penalty, didn't Andy say that would cause welfare to drop. If you haven't transferred people in a few years then maybe the GM has to look at it. You can use exchange workers to move people around. You can use it to send one way with no penalty. |
Robert | Thursday, August 6, 2020 - 11:30 pm I do transfer within my Empire, but thats it. I haven't "sold" Population for Gold in forever now- on the contrary, I have spent GC's to BUY population. My Score was way up before all of a sudden dropping again. I just wish there was something in the Topics on the matter. This is getting seriously OLD. |
Robert | Friday, August 7, 2020 - 11:13 pm johnV- where do you see the trans penalty? Where can I look it up and does it apply to "Inter-Empire" employee transfers (i.e., HTE from one country within my Empire to another within my Empire?). Thanks. |
johnV | Saturday, August 8, 2020 - 01:52 pm On your score page it shows -400 pop transfer penalty. I don't know if that includes buying pop, maybe someone else or the docs can tell you. The exchange professionals page can be used to transfer between your countries without penalty. You can send one way if you just want to move population. The game will reassign workers back to the proportions for the countries in the following months. So a LLW may become a HTEx or a Sr Doctor may become a housewife if the are unemployed. |
Amalie | Saturday, August 8, 2020 - 04:10 pm I did not transfer population |
John Galt | Saturday, August 8, 2020 - 05:42 pm Pop boosters do not cause penalty. From the docs Population transfers out of the country, cause the welfare index to be multiplied by a factor of 0.99 to 0.5 which is destructive. Read more about this factor in this document. |
Robert | Saturday, August 8, 2020 - 07:45 pm So transferring workers between my countries is the cause? I do that if I have a shortage of one type and an excess in another. That is odd- if I live in the US and find a job in a State I don't live in, I would take that. This game has some odd twists...lol. Another question: I am having to build "War Hospitals" because I apparently have "War Wounded" people in all but one of my countries. Problem: I am not at war, and I am a "Peaceful Empire" (I don't do the war thing). I am baffled about that- why would I have war injured people with no war or Rebellions? |
johnV | Sunday, August 9, 2020 - 01:17 pm It's how you're moving them. There are two ways to move people. From the Empire screen transfer people, which I believe is causing the penalty and from the Employment page exchange professionals which I use all the time without any penalty. If you just want to move pop you can send 400,000 LLW and the game will reassign them in the following months. The wounded are probably left over form the rebellions. |
Robert | Sunday, August 9, 2020 - 07:50 pm Thanks, John. So I don't use the Empire transfers- I simply use the Exchange page and transfer what I have "excess" in one country to where I have a "shortage" in another country. Thats all I do anymore. Surreal- not sure what the "consequences" are for a literal plunge in Welfare score, but it literally has gone from 110'ish to 89 and I have zero clue why. I have plenty of hospitals, schools, roads, money, low unemployment- you name it. Quality of goods purchased is 200, low water point is 6 months and I have reorder set to 14 months. I am "Peaceful Country" so what little armament I do have isn't pulling anything down cost wise. I just wish the GM would reply or at a very minimum the Game Instructions defined such a critical Index better with Index minimums required to keep this score up. Stunning. |
