EC | Thursday, May 4, 2017 - 11:57 pm Why in the heck, with the crap ton of money sitting idle, molding and rotting away in the security council, would ANYBODY vote against proposals to help other players????!!!! Unless the player asking for assistance has caused you problems in the past, please vote to help them out This money does not come out of your pockets.......so stop being such greedy grinches and get the money out where it can be used. This same crap happened last time I played a few years ago, and it angered me then as well. Get over your selfish selves and VOTE YES to help newer players. Currntly there is a resolution being voted on to give Commonwealth of Hezapotamia 2 Trillion as untied development aid. Please go vote yes!!!! |
Nicholas II | Friday, May 5, 2017 - 04:05 pm Same Vote YES. However the money comes from the sercruity council's members pockets. |
EC | Saturday, May 6, 2017 - 01:42 am This frustrates the heck out of me.....please go vote yes for this resolution I honestly don't even know the player asking for help, but, once again, IT DOESN"T COME OUT OF YOUR POCKETS!!!!!!! It's currently not going to pass......simply because some players hate to see others succeed. |
Nicholas II | Sunday, May 7, 2017 - 01:44 pm Look members of sercurity council pay a monthly fee that goes to this but still I support voting YES although I guess it's now rejected. It does not come out of anyone out of the sercurity council's pocket but it comes from the membership fees members pay every month to the SC. It is just going to stagnate there so might as well give those who need it now! |
EC | Sunday, May 7, 2017 - 03:10 pm Amen Nicholas I don't understand players sometimes |
Nicholas II | Sunday, May 7, 2017 - 05:02 pm Well. People now a days are rather selfish and I would say it's part of being narcissistic. They think themselves as more entitled than any other human beings. In fact no one is entitled to anything, it's only us humans who can help one another, not all humans but most , seem rather cold nowadays. In fact it seems probably human nature it seems. " I am ahead of you now and forever, you can rot and I will do everything to undermine your success" Quote. However I still think capitalism is the best still, I and everyone would be a poor peasant without capitalism. However those at the bottom will suffer which is saddening. |
aglfern | Saturday, May 27, 2017 - 08:03 pm Guys, I totally agree on helping other players. However, I think that we should have some sort of criteria. For instance, I voted yes for the first resolution and proposal. But for the second proposal, after taking a look at the country, seemed to me that it would be much easier for the new player to just start another country. It was clear that he made a lot of mistakes but it is also clear that he did not look for the hints and guidance already available in this forum... and he had not played for more than 10 game years, if I am not wrong... I would be glad to help players that spent hours playing, building up, and then ended in a bankrup because of the game complexity. They surely earned that. But I would think twice on helping players that seemed to have just been wondering around, trying anything without even think about what they were doing... |
EC | Sunday, May 28, 2017 - 06:36 am But, aglfern.....you are acting as if this money is coming from you. It is not The security council has this cash already and it is rotting away, as it always has been The only thing it requires from you is voting yes....if that is too much for you, then, by all means, vote no....but don't act like this has any impact on you...it does not |
aglfern | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 12:37 am Hi EC! Please don't get me wrong. This is absolutely not the point. I am not concerned about from where comes the money at all. I understand and agree that it is there to be used. Also, I know it does not have any impact on me. Again, this is not the point. My point is: we should not pass the message that all that you need to do when you run into trouble is to ask for more money. I am quite sure that most players here have had alredy made big mistakes in the game. I did it a lot. However, I worked (played) hard to fix it by myself. And learned from it, and became a better player. For me, this is how it works. Asking for help should be an exception, after you did everything you knew or you could do. In my opinion, we should use some sort of criteria to evaluate to whom it will be given. That is all. In my own criteria, the first country earned it but the second country did not. I can not say that my judgment was good or not. Perhaps I was unfair with the second player. Perhaps more experienced players could suggest a better approach for it. This is my way of thinking. Regards! |
Eraset | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 01:41 am and this is why new players dont stay |
EC | Monday, May 29, 2017 - 04:21 am The Security Council has 484.49T SC$ in cash. It's sitting in there rotting 2T in aid is basically nothing I vote yes every time....regardless of who or why Give it to the players |
aglfern | Tuesday, May 30, 2017 - 05:17 am Well, if you all think that giving this money will keep new players on the game, then I will vote yes to all requests, as you say. Personally, I don't believe that it will have any effect. Regards! |
hezekiah.j.white | Monday, July 3, 2017 - 06:00 pm Wow Thank you all in helping my Nation I gladly appreciate it. Now it's time to help others. I am now in the UN and can help others. |
