Tuesday, May 26, 2015 - 08:21 pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Holy Defenders Against Evil Ministry of Foreign Affairs February 11, 3431 The government of Holy Defenders Against Evil has been threatened with "economic war" by the CEO of Martin Enterprises over our government's rejection of a request to build an arms corporation in our country. We find the contrived "crisis" to be utterly ludicrous. First, the request was for an arms corporation. Martin Enterprises had no right to expect such a request to be accepted unless the country was associated with the same military alliance as Martin. Second, as a rule, our government accepts requests for the manufacture of civilian goods in our country. Third, government policy is to float shares of our eligible State Corporations. Anyone can purchase Shares of such Country-Controlled Public Corporations (CCPCs) and enjoy a slice of our great nation's prosperity. Fourth, Holy Defenders Against Evil is one of White Giant's economic powerhouses, producing $282.52 billion in goods last month. Any attempt to disrupt our economy would obviously impact the economics of White Giant as a whole. Take a friendly posture towards Holy Defenders Against Evil, purchase Shares of our CCPCs, and we'll all get rich together.

Friday, May 29, 2015 - 05:47 pm hryto, you probably remember that it used to be possible to launch military strikes against the corps of a CEO who threatened "economic war." Nowadays, presidents sometimes have no options for dealing with misbehaving CEOs. For that reason, I've endorsed a bill to once again make CEO corps attackable.

Friday, May 29, 2015 - 09:17 pm Madoff, I remember Sneak Attacks. I never used one against a CEO corp, but they were nice for tweaking an adversary in a crisis.

Friday, May 29, 2015 - 09:19 pm My two big suggestions that are now part of the game were Migration (a long story) and Boycotts (an even longer story).

Saturday, June 13, 2015 - 08:12 pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Holy Defenders Against Evil Ministry of Health February 12, 3440 Holy Defenders Against Evil celebrates surpassing the one thousand hospital mark, with 1,012 common civilian hospitals available for care in our country. That's 200 hospitals up and beyond what's projected as needed for average care. Our government takes pride in providing world-class services to our citizens.

Saturday, June 13, 2015 - 11:51 pm "My two big suggestions that are now part of the game were Migration" migration sucks the way it is done now. Great countries with tonnes of populace and a thriving econ loses people while developing sucky eons gain. Go figure. Nice idea.

Thursday, June 25, 2015 - 03:51 pm As I have some time this morning, I'll explain the story behind each. IMMIGRATION I had a country that needed additional workers, and we couldn't buy population in the game yet. The C3s surrounding me all had unemployment over 50%. I knew in the real world my embassies in those countries would be flooded with applications for work visas. Granted, Migration has probably been pulled too tight now. However, the reason I stopped playing the game for awhile is that the pendulum had swung too far the other way. Worker fluctuations were at wartime levels, making a shambles of economic planning. BOYCOTTS Once upon a time in FB (before FB was the war world), a single player tried to dominate FB. He would conquer countries, strip them bare, and then move onto his next target. His Achilles heel was that he was a terrible economic manager, with his countries basket cases. It struck me that we could bring his entire empire down by slapping it with an embargo, never having to fire a shot. (Out of the same saga came the weapons range, and Financial Index to buy arms, rules.)
