Matthew Purcell | Thursday, January 9, 2014 - 05:46 pm Hello all, I really need a helpful piece of advice in how to boost immigration to my country - "The Kingdom of Purcell". My issue is that unemployment has been consistently decreasing for years on end and doesn't seem to be slowing down. The worry is that I won't have enough workers for my schools, hospitals and corporations. Meanwhile, apparently, my migration index is 67 (although this hasn't really changed, immigration at the index once was 11,000 after the booster ran out, but is now only 2,000), quite high, as far as I am aware. The Unemployment index is 4, even though my social security payments pay more than the low wage! I would have thought that would boost immigration. On that matter, welfare is 133. In other words, I need desperate help in boosting immigration and if you have any ideas, let me know, or my country could stagnate and collapse! Many Thanks, Matt |
Volvo | Friday, January 10, 2014 - 02:29 am Hello: Try to exchange workers with another country. Try to raise your country welfare index. Try to improve the efficiency and productivity of your corporations. I'm on LU. What its the name of your country? Regards. |
Matthew Purcell | Friday, January 10, 2014 - 02:32 am Hi Volvo, That's the thing: Very few workers to exchange due to the high employment rate. Welfare is already quite high at 133. Efficiency and productivity is pretty much at the max! The Kingdom of Purcell is the name. Cheers the suggestions! |

Borg Queen | Friday, January 10, 2014 - 06:42 am Afaik Immigration isnt just taking into account your own Migration Index but also what the Migration Index of the other countries is. Just to show you what I mean: My main on KB has a Migration Index of 68 and total Migrated last month: 0. |
Erin | Friday, January 10, 2014 - 11:20 am Mat, Immigration is not the rate that determines the population increase each month that is more birth rate and a few other things i dont quite understand. Not sure if you were thinking that is what it means. The immigration index is not all that helpful there is just not enough information available in game to see what it does and what changes we make do to it. If your at the high 60's that sounds right. Mine is 66-67 and i dont think i have seen anyone hit 70 but maybe some of the vets have. There was a change not so long ago saying that more immigrants will be workers than wives and children than before. But we neither before nor after could see what type of immigrants were coming in so... woot for fixing a problem we could not know we had i think.. |
