I am on every day before and after school on weekdays (Atlantic Standard time), every weekend I am on if I have nothing going on and if I do I used my phone to check whats going on.
I know it can be hard to keep a country going the first time around, heck it took me four failed countries to get on my feet and now my fifth is in the top ten.
I want to join the Security Council so I can help those that actually need help when they need it. I see people requesting aid and only 1-3 Sc members respond sometimes only one and nothing gets done. Lets put me a ACTIVE player who knows the struggles of new players on the Security council so people can get the help they need.

Nico is correct, it was mostly to show that i'm always available on the game, not campaigning. I know how the Sc works. When you get #1 you become a hall of famer and get 5 months on the SC, or if your randomly selected then you get 2 months. |

You don't get to decide who should play and who shouldn't. If someone pays their money to play, as I know that Ian Cameron has, then leave him be. For that matter, free players have that right too, because free play is also part of this game. We all play our game the way we WANT and noone has the right to dictate HOW we play, what questions we ask, and to what degree that we play our game.
As far as I'm concerned and I'm sure others, as long as Ian isn't posting anything offensive to anyone, leave him be. From what I have been able to gleen as well, you aren't that skilled at the game either. Trust me, I've had you looked at. |

I said before for the Union except for certain members to just leave me alone and stay off my threads, Ardglass was not on the list I wanted contact with. I'm allies with UCM and that's about it, i am associates with members of both the union and bme.
What matters in military is the strength of all your units first individually (level), and then together as a full fighting force,and strategy.
UCM and me have been speaking and i'm pretty sure he plans on remaining neutral in the conflict just like I am, I haven't spoken to Mittens lost or any of the others that left the Union shortly after I left the game and before I returned to the Union besides UCM. The USS one ally was the IRP and we merged with them and their allies became the UNION's allies, then UCM left and now I don't think they really care about the UNION.
I have allies as well, but they do not show them selves that often in the game world besides LU, General, Problem, and maybe suggestion threads.

The "Guardians of Peace", the countries which ceded from the Union, do not have any association with the Union whatsoever. The Market was split recently and nearly 200 years of partial union and union have culminated. They left in Good Terms based on a last report.

This message is to TheWhy and anyone who wants to know why I speak openly against cyber bullying and really all forms of bullying. If you keep in tune with your daily news, you hear story after story of kids committing suicide due to bullying in schools and cyber bullying. It is becoming a huge problem in our society. One can argue...."oh it is kids being kids" or "it is the internet....just words on a screen." Well to some people it goes beyond that. You never know what is going on in the life of the person on the other side of the screen.
We are seeing and hearing more cases on the news of bullying leading to suicides. This is a serious problem that leads to many negative effects for victims of bullying. The statistics on bullying and suicide are alarming:
- Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it.
- Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University
- A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying
- 10 to 14 year old girls may be at even higher risk for suicide, according to the study above
- According to statistics reported by ABC News, nearly 30 percent of students are either bullies or victims of bullying, and 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying
Bully-related suicide can be connected to any type of bullying, including physical bullying, emotional bullying, cyberbullying, and sexting, or circulating suggestive or nude photos or messages about a person.
What has happened to our society? Why are people behaving this way? Well how can we expect our young people to not engage in such behavior when the adults are engaging in such behavior?
Right here in this very game, Simcountry, I have witnessed individuals who seem to get a high or a jolly in playing such ugly, nasty mind games. The name calling is atrocious. The use of personal information to hurt people is just astounding. And these are people in their late 20s and 30s behaving this way - supposedly adults. They are parents of young children. Why just day before yesterday, when engaging in such a discussion with a player, I was told I was "too soft." No, I am not too soft, I am normal. I don't aspire to gaining my self-importance in real life or online in tearing other individuals down. Decent persons who see that their words hurt or are upsetting people will back off, but not some of the individuals I have come across in this game. They honestly have no conscience or caring for their fellow man, which is sociopathic in nature. Yet, I am the one who is called "bat-crap crazy?" I think not.
Right now in the news there is a case in Florida, where two young girls (pre-teen) are being charged in the death of another girl from their incessant bullying online and through texting. The case is bringing national attention and is even looking at whether the girls' parents should be held responsible as well. What makes children and even adults today behave in such mean and nasty ways? The news even showed a text by one of the girls charged saying she didn't care that the girl died as a result of what she said, saying she didn't give a good G..Damn.
This is what is wrong with society, people don't care for people.
Anyways, TheWhy, I don't have a big tolerance for nitpicking and nonsense and you can blame Wendy for this. I've had to endure her nonsense, stalking, her name changes in chat to attack and bringing others in to join her in 'gang banging' me for YEARS. I tend to overreact, because for me enough is enough. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just gonna kill ya on WG, cuz you are an adversary in the game...no other reason than that and... you crossed me and my federation with your threats and nonsense! :P

Furthermore, you are not entirely accurate. Bullying can take any form in any venue. Just because this is an online game, which so calls gives people anonymity, doesn't justify cruelty and people crossing the line. I specifically know of a case where a young man was bullied in an online chatroom in a gaming site and killed himself as a result. As I said, you never know what is going on in the life of the person on the receiving end.
Anyways, if I feel a need to address you further, it will be you on the receiving end of a war declaration. And this will be game related and not for anything else. Because I am a lady, I bid you well and a lovely day.

He is NOT Cyber-bulling to an extent that Jan is describing. He has always been in that shape, and everyone must adapt to it. I found no problem with it when he spoke in such a way when I joined him, so I see no other reason why everyone should. If he reacts that way, he probably has a reason, he entered this topic nicely up until Jan entered and reintroduced the topic.

Thank you for the heads up, we have been preparing for a while now, specifically after someone from the outside informed us of your intentions over a week ago, your plans in provoking Ardglass to strike first... Among other things (we thank you if you're out there! whoever you are...).
We have a policy, we never strike first, why? Because we seek a diplomatic solution first. After that, we leave it be, or the aggressor always attacks first, we are declared on first when diplomacy fails, never us.
If you plan on making Ardglass fall, then you'll have to take us down Jan. Shame, to see that of the few large and active Federations, this one will have to fall in the hands of those doing you the favour because of petty issues. The Union stands behind every single member in it.
If you topple us, it will cost you a great deal of money. We have plenty of defences to be put to good use.
I tire of your threats Jan and don't get me wrong, I liked you very much, but this is my Federation and this is where I stand. Do what you please. Everything comes to its end in due time anyway.

Well this little war will be fun for all of us and by all of us I mean us in The Union. As Minister of Foreign Affairs for The Union I've been trying to figure out what the hell has been going on with this "beef" between both parties. Now I'm glad I chose to mainly sit and watch rather than take diplomatic action. If it's a war she wants so bad then let's give it to her. Make this game a little fun.
Now as for the bullying, as a United States Marine and a Floridian I do not condone bullying of any type nor the taking of one's life in any form. We're always about improving ourselves and friendly competitions here in the Corps, so picking on the little guy is not our thing, I much rather fight the "big bad bully" and give him a true challenger. As for suicide, unfortunately it occurs in our society. I haven't lost any of my Marines to suicide(thank you God) and I don't have pity on anyone who does take their life seeing my Marines and I are putting ours at stake for yours. But it happens and we shouldn't joke about it.
Now as far as simcountry goes, if you would like peace(I highly recommend it) then request it now because once this war starts there's no letting up on the beating you're about to receive. Marines win wars, not lose them. Also just because the government was shut down doesn't mean I'm low on cash. We can truly test the length of our bank accounts if you wish. I'm game.
