PapaDough | Saturday, June 23, 2018 - 06:29 pm yea I know. pretty dead here. I would love for it to be like it used to be. in 2014 even white giant was full of activity and active feds and war. |
Michael | Saturday, June 23, 2018 - 11:37 pm I still play. I noticed there seem to be more players on Fb than KB currently. I think after a lull there are more new players now - hopefully they can retain them |
PapaDough | Sunday, June 24, 2018 - 08:05 pm maybe we could form some sort of fed. that would be a good idea to get it started. what are your guy's countries, just in case I form one soon, I can invite you guys. |
Michael | Monday, June 25, 2018 - 10:30 pm My country is Costa de Espada I am currently in a Common Market but no fed but I would like to join one. Send me an invite if you start one. Thanks. Michael |

smartsolutionscp | Friday, September 7, 2018 - 11:36 am not only FB but all Simcountry is dying |
Andy | Friday, September 7, 2018 - 02:50 pm Many active countries on all worlds. FB should have been a war world but it seems that fighting is scarry. also Crimson One should be a place to fight but there are very few who want to do so. Old players asked us to bring back war as it was "before". now that we did, it's silent. But in general, we see quite some new players joining every day. |
Madoff | Friday, September 7, 2018 - 05:10 pm Unfortunately, the gamemasters did not bring back war as it was "before". Crimson One removed war levels and disabled the import of weapons from space stations. That's it. Those changes are progress. But they are obviously not enough to correct the problems of PvP. Before, in war engine 1.0, we did not have massive logistics, or massive amounts of targets. War engine 2.0 introduced obstacles to PvP: war levels, military units, supply units, restrictions on weapons production on most worlds. The maximum number of forts grew from 100 to an unlimited amount. The number of cities, towns, and counties proliferated as the maximum population grew from 50 million to 300 million. War engine 2.0 turned PvP into a convoluted clicking marathon. When the gamemasters correct more of those excesses, then PvP will be revived on all worlds. |
Lord Mndz | Friday, September 7, 2018 - 08:24 pm Fighting has never been scary, but there should be a reward for doing that, currently I cannot see how that could be profitable, as game assets can be moved out just before losing the war and population is decreasing so fast that there is no point to move it from the taken country. Another problem is the complexity of war game, many units or weapons are never used and the war game itself is too much costly. Also there is no easy recovery mechanism for defeated players and etc. New countries are not boosted to grow fast. Regarding Crimson, I don't see how to grow there as all corporations making losses and after taking a single C3 country I immediately received 2T worth war damage which is difficult to deal with when country is not making money. Andy, I suggest you to go to "gemba" by registering country from zero and try to play with it without any cash/population investment, this is the feeling most players have. It seems that many things are so obvious from players perspective, but GMs just don't hear what is being said. It is very sad that we don't have an open conversation as community only wants to make this game better. |
Andy | Friday, September 7, 2018 - 08:43 pm In war engine 1 as you call it, you could have thousands of fortifications, huge numbers of targets, including many cities and the common request was to reduce clicking. number of casualties and destroyed weapons was very large. I remember hundreds of thousand of weapons being destroyed. I do not think you want that back. Players had millions of weapons. The cost of war is now a fraction of what it was and in the past year we have reduced it much further. In Crimsom One, war levels are not relevant. you can fight anyone. On FB there are hardly any limitations. The number of cities and fortifications is now much lower. Uncompareable to what it was with "war engine 1". It is now possible to attack from bases, as it was long ago and no need to do everything with units. it is possible to win without painting. There are no limitations on the production of weapons on any world. In all previous versions there were limitations, mainly on nuclear and strategic weapons. Not sure when was the last time you used it. The number of cities is very limited despite the larger population. There are not many countries with 300M most are a fraction of this. On Crimson One if we start it, wars will be even much smaller as it will run 3 months. Population and armies will remain small. |
Lord Mndz | Saturday, September 8, 2018 - 07:52 am Andy, Cost of war means nothing when countries can still make profits and support these large armies at the same time. Currently you cannot do that so players keep weapons at CEO accounts or have them all inactive.. Units are so small that to have all weapons activated you need to create thousands of them and it makes war page laggy, not even talking about supplying them. Number of casualties never was a problem, and nuclear damage now so very small that it is not fun/worth to use these weapons. I remember when successful nuclear hit were causing massive damage and casualties, but today there is no difference from regular weapons. I tried that in my last pvp few months back, so I remember the last time very clear. Painting is not working normally as not all targets are being painted on the map and all the time you are being stopped by some invisible object... Give players profits and they will buy weapons to fight wars. You will never spend on army when you country hardly makes some cash. |
Ainz Ooal Gown | Thursday, September 27, 2018 - 08:51 pm I have no complains on the wargame. It is want it is, wars are costly and people have to commit entire nations worth of resources to wage one. I think the problem of why people loss so much on waging wars are on the way of how people manage the economic side of the war. The game itself also shares the same amount of blame but I understand why the game cannot ever do it in the most realistic sense. I recommend that the GMs would improve the economic side of the game by introducing national currencies, banking and further restrictions on the resources. Well, it would make wargames more convoluted and making the game more difficult, but again, who says managing a country is easy. |

Anthonyzappulla | Thursday, April 11, 2019 - 01:29 am Tell ya what's not dead in FB lol is people joining starting wars, drawing art work in their country, then quitting Also as a result I see the market for Defense of weapons go through the roof |
David Smith | Thursday, May 23, 2019 - 08:05 am I am the best koko |
dubletar | Thursday, November 7, 2019 - 01:44 am It's not totally dead. I just went through every continent, region by region, and can confidently say there's no more than a handful large players... :/ That's not good. Most regions are desolate, with player controlled countries looking no different than C3 countries. |
dubletar | Thursday, November 7, 2019 - 01:48 am NSA and LDI are the two strongest federations (I would even say the only two feds...). After them, there's three presidents with 2-3 strong states each. Then inactive crickets... |
Lord Mndz | Thursday, November 7, 2019 - 09:09 am I hope that relaxing limitations for empires will change this situation and we will see more strong empires in the future. |
The_Wicked_Lady | Friday, November 8, 2019 - 08:57 pm How can FB be a dead world?!!! I, the infamous Wicked Lady, am there....waiting, watching for the right moment to unleash all sorts of wickedness and mayhem to the region!!!!! |
The_Wicked_Lady | Monday, November 11, 2019 - 05:55 pm I think I am going to reach out to a past 3 Muskateer to see if they will rejoin the game and rebuild the 3Ms!!!! They were big on FB back in the day, too! I'll let you know what I find out! :-D |
Lord Mndz | Monday, November 11, 2019 - 07:19 pm please do that. |
jeffcd1818 | Monday, November 11, 2019 - 11:40 pm Jeffcd Former 3M Is back. |
Lord Mndz | Tuesday, November 12, 2019 - 05:01 am Nice |
John Galt | Tuesday, November 12, 2019 - 01:04 pm FB is coming alive and we don't even have the war level training wheels removed yet! It's only going to get better from here. I feel like I am cheating on Little Upsilon with Fearless Blue, but that world is a total snooze fest. |
The_Wicked_Lady | Friday, November 15, 2019 - 09:37 pm I sent you an ingame, Jeffcd. I saw you pop in/out chat the other day. Please stop in to talk to us sometime. All my best, Jan |
